The software was quite an improvement over the previous version I had. The Amazon process for purchase and delivery went smooth. They delivered ahead of schedule. The only flaw was that 3 weeks later they dropped the price almost $20. Who knew?! I would have waited! Oh well!!

I'm particularly pleased with Microsoft Office 2008, because it enables me to download the Attachments I receive without any of the problems I had previously. It was a good investment for a 91-year-old woman who likes to keep in touch with family and friends.

Norton 360 Version 2.0

Norton has unilatterally determined that "they know best" and when you try to optimize your disk, it WILL NOT optimize them unless NORTON thinks they need to be optimized. Even 7% fragmentation does not reach the "magic threshold".

I chated for over 1 hour with Norton Support (an oxymoron) and was told that I should just use Windows Defrag because 360 would only defrag when IT wanted to.

Systemworks is a GREAT product - could run SpeedDisk and even at 7% fragmentation you could speedup your computer by running the utility.

I guess Norton thinks that every single computer user now-a-days is "computer illeteriate", and that they need to FULLY AUTOMATE EVERYTHING.

Apprehension finally put aside, I'm learning!

Runs perfectly on my Apple and takes a small commitment of about an hour a day to get up to speed. NO problems on updates, etc. and only wished that I'd have loaded it onto a laptop for daily "downtime" practicing, because I'd be miles ahead just working in public. ROSETTA STONE SPANISH is the best of the best!

An all-inclusive BOX of gear and lessons that teach very simply and clearly. Choose your level of learning options and wire yourself in: my nephew thinks it rocks and navigates through it with ease, so this is perfect for a wide range of ages and aptitude.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 (Mac)

If you have a Mac running OS 10.5.4 or 10.5.5 (or above) you should be aware that NONE of the Photoshop Elements software versions--including 6-- is compatible with it. It won't work.

Great product. Purchasing was easy and quick. Bought from a new vendor, but very pleased. If you buy Elements 6 there is a book called "Teach yourself visually" by Mike Wooldridge that is really simple to follow.

I thought this would be worth a try since it came included with Qwest DSL service, and reviews here seemed generally positive. It did not work well on my 7-year old system, though. After a couple weeks struggling with it, I finally was able to uninstall it.

First of all, this requires a lot of RAM. My system was doing OK, but getting a bit low on RAM at 384 MB until I installed this. With Windows Live OneCare installed it wanted around 500 MB just to boot up--even while not running anything. So it was using Virtual Memory and paging like crazy, with the CPU pegged at 100%, even after I let it sit for hours, thinking it just needed to run an initial scan. While my experience with the CD glued to the sleeve was the same as the other review, I found that denatured alcohol would remove the glue quite well. Rosetta really should look into this.

This game can be called a beneficial game to play . Meaning in that it helps with people of all ages with developing problem solving and cognitive thinking;as well as being a fun game with great graphics as well. I have tried this before so I know what I was getting into and pretty much so have gotten pretty good at it.. I have played various puzzle games in the past. Dr Mario, Tetris. various online ones at pogo.com and such. I find this one to be the most interesting as it offers alotta variety and skill levels . From very simple to quite trying and complex . This game would be great too for children for helping develop those problem solving skills they will need later in life as well. Roxio Toast 9 Titanium

This product does many things and I believe it does them well but it is not a smooth fit with Apple's Aperture and this was why I bought it .I can drag files from Aperture but not whole Project/Events.I resort to my WD Hardrive and send them to Toast from there were it works very well.
