I bought VM Ware Fusion 1 and then upgraded to VM Fusion 2. The initial version worked fine and was most effective.
As soon as I upgraded to Fusion 2, I received a notice of "failure to connect peer process." I have been completely unsuccessful at correcting the problem; so I cannot use my virtual machine.
I have tried to get help from Smith Micro and from VM Ware. Smith says they cannot help because I bought the upgrade through Amazon. VM Ware sends you in every direction but one that offers assistance to the non technician. It is almost impossible to speak to a human being at VM Ware unless I sign on and pay for support, even though I have just purchased the basic and upgraded program.
The result is I have a Mac and ... Read More:

If, like me, you buy this software CD from Amazon.com, you may have problems installing it on Windows XP Service Pack 3 (the most recent at this time).
Luckily, as long as you have the product key from the CD, you should be able to download the latest version, which will install on SP3, from Palo Alto's site.
From Palo Alto's website:
"The latest version of Business Plan Pro 11.0 will install and run in Windows XP with Service Pack 3 (SP3).
If you're installing the software from a CD, you may not have the latest version and could encounter a message during the installation that indicates you need Windows XP with Service Pack 2 installed. Downloading the latest installer from our website will resolve that problem."
This software provides the categories investors will review to decide whether or not to fund your business idea. Good luck with your new business planning.....

The software was quite an improvement over the previous version I had. The Amazon process for purchase and delivery went smooth. They delivered ahead of schedule. The only flaw was that 3 weeks later they dropped the price almost $20. Who knew?! I would have waited! Oh well!!

I use a Vista platform and had no trouble installing it.
There are still a couple of things that are nice to purchase when you have this...like an international symbol keyboard. It's kinda stumbly to use 3 fingers everytime you want to add a symbol to a word.
The spell check, like English, is not 100 percent. It should have caught some gender agreement errors.
I had Dragon's Naturally 7 and I thought it was a pretty good product. When I got a new computer I upgraded to 9 - and what a mess its been. I'm going to do a bad thing and write a review before I've even used the product. I accept that it will basically do what its supposed to do - its getting it to start that is the problem. The program is activated but the microphone will not turn on - so the product is useless at the moment.
Their support system is atrocious; since I bought it several months ago I'm out of my 'free call' period. Not only will it cost me $20 to talk to someone about it it'll cost me $10 just to e-mail. There's absolutely nothing on their FAQ's about the program being unwilling to even turn on. An attempt to join their community forum ... Read More:

This was a questionable review. I had XP and didn't know whether the upgrade would make me more current so that I would be more easily able to upgrade to Window' new product coming in a number of months. The upgrade really did bring me closer to Vista, but I've had a number of problems that have caused me to need to reinstall the upgrade.

what kind of a company rewards loyal users by putting up a roadblock to productivity? this is the worst software 'upgrade' i have ever seen, and I've been using software for the past 20 years. yes, there are additional useful features. yes, there are fixes to previous limitations. but no, they did not have to be implemented with a completely new UI. The office ribbon is like GM taking the steering wheel and putting it on the other side of the car, and calling that a better car, though indeed, the new car has a better engine. WTF? why would anyone approve this without at least having an option, add-in, or whatever work around to go back to the classic menus? unfortunately this is a business school case worthy example of how not to treat your customers.
