Adobe Photoshop Elements 7

I was seeking info on Elements 7 vs. 6--per posts last evening and in comment to Ms. Daneman's review, and any help would be most appreciated, but thought anyone thinking about first time purchase might want to check out a site called Top Ten Reviews (reliability unknown as first time seen)which has a piece and chart comparing several dozens of features/components between 10 different editing softwares (Top Ten reviews/software/photo editing software-- Corel, Serif, ULead, acdsee, phot suite, foto finish, photo explosion, picassa, and photo impression). True enuf that Elements comes out No. 1 but a few others are very close. I checked out the comments on Corel, which altho apparently not the Professional version still seems too difficult/time ... Adobe Photoshop Elements & Premiere Elements 7

This is the first time I've used a full-fledged photo editing program. In the past I merely used Paint to resize pics for my website. With Photoshop Elements I can do much more. But since I'm new to the program, I'm doing the equivalent of merely driving to the grocery store in a Lamborghini. Once I get familiar with the program, I'll hit top speed on the open road. I love the way Photoshop retrieves my pics from my iPhone and how it archives photos to their website. However, 2Gb of space is just not enough! I still haven't tried Premiere Elements yet, but I'm working on it!

Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 (Mac)

If you have a Mac running OS 10.5.4 or 10.5.5 (or above) you should be aware that NONE of the Photoshop Elements software versions--including 6-- is compatible with it. It won't work.

Adobe Photoshop CS4 Upgrade

The upgrade box costs more with every upgrade but there is less in it. Amazon frequently shows what's in the box, not here, however, probably because the only thing in the box is the CD/DVD. No more printed manual. Adobe is staking back on what it delivers. Some new features, but hardly worth the price.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 [OLD VERSION]

Great product. Purchasing was easy and quick. Bought from a new vendor, but very pleased. If you buy Elements 6 there is a book called "Teach yourself visually" by Mike Wooldridge that is really simple to follow.

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 Upgrade

The equipment I use is a Professional SLR with several prime lenses. I shoot citiscapes,landscapes,wildlife. So I don't need complex laying tools to interchange faces and bodies as are provided in full photshop CS4. The spotting/redeye/cropping/hue/saturation/tone curve/brush/graduated filter tools in LR2 are more than enough. In LR2 these are presented as easy to use sliders on the same screen with your raw camera image, so you can quickly make any adjustments and get on with showing them. All adjustments are stored as 'orders to do later' with your raw image, and they are not applied until you export from LR to print, DVD, HDTV. They remain in the LR2 library as well and you can go back anytime, reset a former adjustment, and do it over differently, change ... Read More:

This is a fantastic program! The layout of the controls is near perfect and the color control from utilizing camera calibration is outstanding! I'm acheiving accurate colors and saturation with ease and the tonal qualities that I envision through local adjustments and easy to use gradients.

Adobe Acrobat Standard 9

The installation of Adobe Acrobot Pro 9 Trial Version took so long that I sadly decided to cancel the installation half way through. It was almost like installing a new Windows! I decided it's better to stick to the good old CutePDF Writer for now which is by the way free and less than 2MB in size (not 326MB). I use a WindowsXP with 2GB of ram and a 3.4GHz Intel Pentium4 processor.

Adobe Premiere Elements 7

I have been a loyal Adobe Premiere Elements user for 3 years (version 2 and 3).
I just bought a brand new Windows Vista 64bit Quad Core machine, that I spec'ed to do High Definition Video editing. Everything works fine until I try loading Premiere elements. It totally locks up my computer. It looks like it works for about a minute, by then locks up solid. I've uninstalled and re-installed Premiere elements a few times, and even re-installed Vista (fresh install). No luck.

It doesn't even work in 64bit "compatibility mode", where it runs Premiere elements as an administrative program, and can run it like the OS is XP SP2. No difference. I then researched this program on the web, and found that there are a lot of crashing problems with release 7. I guess I'll have ... Read More:
