Paint Shop Pro Photo X2

After reading a lot of the reviews, I wasn't too sure about purchasing PSPP X2 at first. I decided to go ahead and take the chance and I AM SO GLAD I DID! I had no problems installing (hint: serial number is on back of CD envelope), and I was busy editing, exploring, etc. in no time. This software is capable of a lot and it will take some time to learn everything, but that's okay. The user guide that is included helps. Be adventurous and look around, experiment, let your imagination go...You won't regret buying.

my sister is all into photos. she makes calenders and albums for everyone and this gives her more opprotunity to spin her special talents. takes a little time to read through the tutorial but is worth it.

Corel VideoStudio Pro X2

I have used Ulead VideoStudio since version 3. The last Ulead released product was Version 11 Plus. Then came Corel Ulead VideoStudio 11.5 Plus. This latest incarnation, Corel VideoStudio Pro X2, is the first released solely under the Corel name and without Ulead anywhere on the box. But don't let that fool you. This is, for all intents and purposes, VideoStudio 12 (is the X in the title a roman numeral?).

As with each new version of VideoStudio throughout the years, this release sees a number of improved and/or added features incorporated into an already solid home video editing product. Software is easy and intuitive to use. Most users should be able to use most of the features without reading the manual.

Editing features are quite simple to fix, and the Quick Fix feature is good for entry level users to adjust brightness quickly. For intermediate users, more control can be had with individual brightness, saturation, focus controls. However, even an entry level editor such as Adobe Photoshop Elements (the software gives you option to buy Paint Shop Pro) will provide much more control.

Cropping works very well, with both freeform and standard sizes to match cropped pictures to desired picture sizes (3x5, 4x6, 5x7, etc.).

The video software is very good, but note that If you have the free trial, It will need to be uninstalled for the program to install right. Also, When entering the product code. you don't put in any spaces.

One installed it works very fluently and produces good output though the Keying could be better.

I had already owned Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 so I didn't install it. I will eventually to see if it has its claimed better Vista performance.

Note that Painter essential PHOTO does not let you paint your own picture like the normal Painter essential.

The background removing tool is useful.

All in all, this program is worth your money

Corel Ulead VideoStudio 11.5 Plus [OLD VERSION]

There's a lot to like with VideoStudio 11.5. I like the interface. It is very simple to capture video and edit it in a straightforward manner. It has some usable transitions and basic audio editing features. There are a number of advanced features, but - frankly - they are an awful lot of trouble to use.

I've run into several conversion issues. After troubleshooting for a couple of days, I finally gave up on trying to convert AVI files at the DVD creation screen. They had to be pre-converted or the application would consistently crash.

WordPerfect Office 11 - WordPerfect, Quattro Pro, Presentations

You can try before you buy at Corel.com. The latest version is easier to use and better. The version from stayathomedad's we know games would not install on my computer. I guess that's what you get for only paying $20 for the program. On top of that I agree with a fellow reviewer, I believe it has been pirated.

Writing this review has been on my to-do list for a long time. That's because this is a wonderful product, with one big drawback. I've been hoping either to find other drawbacks that could justify a less enthusiatic review, or a solution to that one flaw.
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite will do everything you want it to do, whether you're creating brochures or websites or scrapbook pages. The learning curve is no steeper that it has to be for a product with this robust a range of options. The images and fonts included will come in handy over and over.
The only problem is: everyone else you work with will probably be using Adobe. You will have issues when you collaborate with others, you won't find tutorials that work for you, you won't be able to swap tips at the water cooler. ... Read More:
