PC Tools Spyware Doctor with Antivirus 2008

I Last posted that Mcafee was actually the problem and I was correct. I could not write two reviews, my other post is on the spyware doctor without anti-virus but the same issue applies.

Mcafee and other total security programs want to make other competing software incompatible. On Mcafee's very site it lists spyware doctor and others as imcompatible. Funny how they let all sorts of other programs operate.

So the real problems lie in the main security programs. This would not be an issue if they were able to stop all the intruders, but in my case Mcafee did not and spyware doctor did.

Since I experienced the mcafee(major security program) caused slowdown. All I did was disable the spyware doctor immunization ... Read More:

Spongebob Squarepants Typing Win/Mac

Our children LOVE Spongebob, but we were disappointed in this program. After trying Spongebob for a few days, we bought Mavis Beacon's basic course. Our children caught on immediately with Beacon and have continued to use it instead of Spongebob.

Beacon's course starts off with the basics (home-row keys) and gradually progresses from there. It actually "teaches" and automatically reviews particular skills that the typist is having trouble with. The Spongebob program seems to take for granted that one already knows the basics of typing. It provides little more than practice tools.

In a nutshell, Spongebob is probably good for an advanced typist, but Beacon is better for a beginner.
