Roxio Creator 2009 is an update to the popular Roxio Easy Media Creator 10. The update provides a much smoother and visually appealing interface than its predecessor and now supports processing HD and Blu-ray DVDs through an additional cost add-in available from Roxio. Since I do not have a Blu-ray capable reader, I did not try this add-in. The four general functions available on the main screen (Data, Video, Music, and Photo), each bring up a sub-screen with the specific features (applications) which are available in that category. Once a feature is selected (i.e., Burn Audio CDs), the application easily walks you through the steps necessary to accomplish the task.

Roxio Toast 9 Titanium

This product does many things and I believe it does them well but it is not a smooth fit with Apple's Aperture and this was why I bought it .I can drag files from Aperture but not whole Project/Events.I resort to my WD Hardrive and send them to Toast from there were it works very well.

Let me break it down...

(I just got this, and have played with it for about a week. In this fist part I wanted to cover the features for those wondering what this thing actually does)

Media Import - is one of those organizer things. It detects and organizes your different files

Audio - Rips and converts CD's to MP3, WMA
Records Internet radio
Converts Audio Books to MP3
Tags audio (artist, title, composer, etc.)

Sound Editor - You are able to import and change audio

Create Music Discs - Create CD or DVD with MP3, etc.

Photo - Edit photos (crop, red eye, add text)

DVD - Copy DVD's, put video cam videos on DVD, add titles

Roxio Easy Media Creator Suite 10 [OLD VERSION]

After about six months of limited use, Easy Media Creator stopped working on BOTH of my computers. Technical support is absolutely TERRIBLE. They do not read what I tell them and my issue has not been resolved. I have wasted HOURS trying their suggestions and nothing works. They keep sending me instructions for Vista, even though I tell them over and over again that I use XP. I am just going to uninstall for the last time and buy PowerDirector. They refuse to refund my money.

Roxio Easy CD & DVD Burning

Despite the claim on the box that this software works with Windows Vista, it does not - Vista blocks it because it is incompatible and would create problems. And, because it is software, Roxio will not refund the purchse price despite their false claim. Do not buy this product if you have Vista.

I have used this to burn DVDs of files obtained using a DRM-removal tool to make copies of the DVDs I own. It is fast, works well, user friendly, and well-priced compared to the competition.

Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum [Old Version]

I am extremelly disappointed with Roxio, the makers of CD Creators; especailly Easy CD Creator 5. I purchased Easy CD Creator 5, sometime back from an affiliate of Amazon.com. It was dispatched promptly and in very good condition. I installed it on my computer running Windows 98. After some initial problmes it was running fine.

A few days back I installed Windows XP professional on my computer, and I got a message that the CD Creator was not compatible with this version of Windows. It hinted to contact Roxio. I tried contact Roxio with the help of the link, but found it impossible to send them my message. They have an automated "Roxann" that is so difficult to understand. Next they invite you to a "Webticket" and you are supposed to mention your problem on it. ... Read More:

Roxio Toast 8 Titanium (Mac) [OLD VERSION]

I am an intelligent adult and have successfully mailed in and received hundreds of product rebates over the years, but there is no guarantee you will receive a Roxio rebate if you purchase this product! The company that processes their rebates are fraudulent and do everything they can to get away with it. I call them every month!

Unfortunately, I was originally not going to buy this program, but decided to anyway when a great price was offered in combination with the $30 rebate. Without the rebate, for me it was a total rip off. If this product seems worth the price to you, regardless of the rebate probably not going through, please ignore my negative review.

I can't stress this enough... Do NOT count on receiving the rebate for Roxio Toast!

Disappointed with this product. I run Windows Vista. I have all required system specs to work. The audio converter does not work. I have gone on troubleshooting, blogs, have run updates, still doesn't work. But I can buy and upgrade of this product that "should" make it work. No thanks.

Roxio write the worst software of any major producer today. Not only is it filled with bugs but it inserts itself into your operating system like a virus and is very difficult to extract once the virus is inserted. I've been stuck with it a couple of times because it came pre-loaded on Dell PCs. The faster these guys go out of business the better the world of computers will be.
