We needed two programs, since we have laptops for the kids' home school work, and this only has a license for three computers, this is comparable to the other program we're using, it doesn't slow things down and works fine. The kids hate it since it limits their internet so it must be doing something right!

The Good:

* Set it and forget it
* Traditional firewall and scanners you expect from a suite and then some
* Innovative features like anti-theft protection, keystroke encryption and wi-fi detector on your browser(tested on IE and Mozilla)
* Provides Mobile security for many PDAs as well

The Bad:

* Anti-Theft protection could've been extended to do much more

The Bottom Line:

A great product from Trend Micro. Once you install it, you forget that its even there. It doesn't bug you for every little thing like other suites tend to do. User of this program since they came on the market.... many years ago and NEVER had a single virus!

Tried others, but this is the one works!

This product does not work with Vista or XL even though the packaging says it does. I had to call support and they had to download something to make it compatible with my pc and laptop. It was a very big hassle. I keep getting popup windows when I'm on the laptop that say that an Apple computer is trying to hook up. I'm not sure what this is all about.

The good thing about it is Trend Micro found 28 viruses that Norton had not found.

The Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware was reccommended by our IT employee. He felt it was the best out there at the present time. I found it easy to follow the instructions on the CD for installation and so far--so good! It is also nice to have a CD if you need to reinstall the program (which you can't do if you have downloaded a program from the internet) You also have the help from Trend Micro if needed, by email, phone or chat.

The computer runs considerably slower with the software installed but I guess that is what you have to put up with to have security.

Purchased 3-years of PC-Cillin with my Dell desktop. Useless and non-functioning (compliments the Dell quite nicely, actually). With two years of paid coverage remaining, I deleted this nightmare of a program entirely and went with Comcast's McAfee freebie.
