This game can be called a beneficial game to play . Meaning in that it helps with people of all ages with developing problem solving and cognitive thinking;as well as being a fun game with great graphics as well. I have tried this before so I know what I was getting into and pretty much so have gotten pretty good at it.. I have played various puzzle games in the past. Dr Mario, Tetris. various online ones at pogo.com and such. I find this one to be the most interesting as it offers alotta variety and skill levels . From very simple to quite trying and complex . This game would be great too for children for helping develop those problem solving skills they will need later in life as well. Its great for adults for mind game type of games keeping ... GTR Evolution

Since the game play details have already been extensively discussed in prior reviews here, let me discuss what I consider a major flaw in the implementation of GTR Evolution that not one reviewer has covered.

The game comes in four parts:

1) Steam
2) GTR Evolution Offline
3) GTR Evolution Online
4) Race 07 Dedicated Server

Installing ALL aspects of this game eats up approximately 9 GBs of hard drive space!

The Steam application is used to look for online games (not just GTR Evolution games) as well as chat with your buddies and everything else, except the kitchen sink (basically, it's another version of GameSpy bloatware). You MUST install Steam in order to play online.

GTR 2: Realism Redefined

Without doubt GTR 2 is quite simply the best simulation racing game I have ever played. I am awating GTR evolution, so things may change, but for now GTR 2 rules the roost.

The Simbin development team have thought of everything and this is what dinstinguishes the game from the more arcade style titles such as the Need for Speed franchise. Sure these kinds of games are fun, but what I really want to do is test myself on a realistic track in a car which behaves like the real thing. And that's what you get from GTR: big snorting, fire spitting GT cars which require a mixture of brute strength and ballet dancer finese to ease around some of the world's most demanding tracks.

Fritz Chess

This is Fritz from Viva Media. This is such a sad knock off of the Fritz programs from Germany which the latest version is Fritz 11.

You would think that a USA company could put software together better then Germany for Americans, not so. This pales in comparison. Does not even come with a full year at playchess.com.

I guess that is why the price is low. You get what you pay for.

All my specs are fine but constantly have the game freezing up, crashing or my main character walks back and forth. Online help was useless. I am so disappointed because after you get past the first few days there is more to do and I was enjoying it.

Learn to Play Chess with Fritz and Chesster 2: Chess in the Black Castle

I taught my son the basics of chess at 5 and he totally took to it, but I'm not a particularly good player, so I couldn't help him improve his game. So we bought him this software and it did just what we wanted: took him from a beginner with a solid grasp of the mechanics (moves and rules) to an intermediate with an understanding of strategy.

He now understands opening moves, developing the pieces, controlling the center of the board, protecting his king, when to sacrifice pieces and when not to, and end game basics.

Sure, some of the storylines are goofy and some of the modules are really just video games that make a minor point, but those things kept him interested in a way a dry, straight-forward walk through would not have.
