I purchased this product for my daughter who is almost 3 years old. I had tried other products but she had some difficulty with them and was frustrated. I had used this product for my older children when they were young and it was a big hit with them, so I thought I'd try it with her. In no time, she was playing by herself and LOVING IT!! She loves the 'puter' now and the games are alot of fun for her!! This was a big hit!!!!

Really awful program. I only purchased it because the school also uses it. The Karoke section makes no sense and it says to play a song, but then none of the buttons are enabled to play one. I called tech support and they said this is the way it's supposed to work until the child accumulates tickets. My daughter accumulated all of the tickets, but it still doesn't play any songs in the clubhouse.

The comments posted here are all over the map; there is obviously something going on here. If you want the real scoop on this product, check out the excellent in depth review here: http://llt.msu.edu/vol8num3/review1/default.html. Its all you need (and then some) to draw your own conclusion.
I'm halfway done with the Mandarin DVD and it is just great. I was debating about Rosseta Stone or Fluenz and so glad I went with Fluenz. If you want an analytical interactive adult approach to learning Mandarin this is the DVD to get. I tried Rosseta Stone from a guy at work and it was ok, but not my style. This seems to teach in a logical way that you can extrapolate on instead of just learning phrases.
Also the Audio CD and Podcasts are great learning tools. I thought they would just be filler stuff, but the Podcasts have helped me with tones more than anything.
I also chatted online with Customer Service (to find where to download the Podcasts) and he was very helpful and friendly.

Rosetta stone is good for beginners. Starts off with basic words and pictures. Hopefully by the end there will be some phrases and sentences to use in everyday conversation. I already know some words so it's not too hard for me but my kids who are young already picked up some words.

Our third grader is hooked on the World game, despite being occasionally challenged by it, and enjoyed the DVD enough to request more than one viewing of it. So although we haven't even tried out the USA game yet, I think we got our money's worth, if not more.
We're using an older computer with XP, and had no installation problems. The "Where in the World" game runs just fine for us; if we have problems with the USA version I'll come back to make a note here, but so far this purchase has been great.
The storyline in the game has just enough mystery and suspense, plus the thrill of gathering clues and eventually discovering hidden secrets, to be perfect fun for this age group, which the manufacturer lists as 8-12.

Very effective way to trick an old brain to learn to think in another language. I have no completed the lectures, but already see the results.

i love simply love one note. it's is a great way to organize my life, from work-related stuff to personal to-do lists. one of the best features is the screen-shot capability, which allows me to take a snap shot of my screen and paste it into one note. i love being able to convert what i type directly into a word document too. although i'm still learning to navigate the program, there are so many features to love about it!

I would really prefer a lesson were the video plays most of the time. This is mostley reading the screen, which is very small and they are so paraoid that you will copy it that they disable printing, The video really does not help much and i have been through half of the course. I personally would reccomend metal method with doug marks over this.
