QuickBooks Simple Start 2007 [OLDER VERSION]

Our home business has been going for years on Quicken and Excel. It wasn't a great solution, or a fast one, but it was cheap and I didn't have to spend a ton of time learning a complex new program.

Last month my need for invoicing, applying discounts, and keeping track of individual parts and selling units outweighed the abilities of our current system -- so I went looking for an inexpensive and easy solution.

I'd used Quickbooks Manufacturing at work, and it's a behemoth - definitely does the job, but not easy to learn all it's complexities very quickly.

As a tax preparer, I often use this product to generate one of the many types of K-1 necessary for clients. It is fairly easy to use.

I have been using Qucken since 1996 where I found the benfits to be well worth the price for the program.

This product is great for anyone who wants to get their financial picture in order and get a jump on their income taxes. This is a totally customizable program which allows fro the greatest of ease. This sinthizes well with your previous yeears editions no matter how long ago you perchased the program.

If you are new to quicken, it is great to help you keep track of everything from Stock, to paychecks, to investment, bills, credit cards, anything. I bought a copy of MS Money 2000 used, and liked it for the last few years, although the reports were not easy to build, so I tried this newer version, and like the revamped interface.

Clunky interface, super-slow screen redraws, and non-intuitive screens and data entry. How did this get past Quicken's Quality Assurance and User Testing departments?
I demanded and received and refund.

I love Microsoft Money. I bought this version to save money. It is compatible with Windows Vista. Easy to use and keeps me orgnized. I have been a faithful Money user for years

Quicken 98 and many uneventful upgrades.But with this last upgrade to Quicken 2009, I'm throwing in the towel.I bought Microsoft money plus H and B because I was desperately looking for something better.I have all of 2007 and 2008 transactions on both programs. Almost 2000 transactions on each program. Hands down I think MicoMoney is a better program. Categories are much easier to keep clean and work with. The program has not gotten full of its self and is still real clean and simple. There are a lot of little things that i will miss with Quicken but not enough to go back. The reports have a very professional look. Mark
