wow I have only had this product for a day and a half. And I am very very impressed with it. The installation of the product(dragon) only took about 10 minutes to install. The voice recognition took about another 10 to fully understand my voice patterns. Actually it started understanding my voice within the first 1 to 2 seconds. I already sent out a ton of e-mails to friends and family. Telling them about this product. All of them are super impressed that for the most part I never even have to touch the keyboard. Most of them have seen my previous e-mails and no that I'm not the greatest typer in the world and misspell words quite a bit. They are impressed of how accurate this software is. what kind of a company rewards loyal users by putting up a roadblock to productivity? this is the worst software 'upgrade' i have ever seen, and I've been using software for the past 20 years. yes, there are additional useful features. yes, there are fixes to previous limitations. but no, they did not have to be implemented with a completely new UI. The office ribbon is like GM taking the steering wheel and putting it on the other side of the car, and calling that a better car, though indeed, the new car has a better engine. WTF? why would anyone approve this without at least having an option, add-in, or whatever work around to go back to the classic menus? unfortunately this is a business school case worthy example of how not to treat your customers.

I've been doing genealogy on and off for years, and haven't used FTM for a while. I've been rebuilding my family history [...] and decided it was time to get desktop software, and decided to get FTM 2009 because I figured it would make things easier to switch back and forth. Now, I've been using computers since I was a child, and am quite comfortable with them, but I am having a terrible time navigating around this software. It does not recognize sources that I linked to people in Ancestry, and keeps giving me hints for these sources. I am having to go in, person by person, and ignore all these hints so I don't have the little leaf on every single person. The help files have not been useful, and the email I sent has yet to be answered. I am having problems ... Read More:

my sister is all into photos. she makes calenders and albums for everyone and this gives her more opprotunity to spin her special talents. takes a little time to read through the tutorial but is worth it.

I don't know if I wasn't paying attention, or was just not informed. But this program doesn't work with macs even though it was used on the old apple2GS which is just a super old version of a mac. Don't get this if you have a mac!

World Of Warcraft Expansion: Burning Crusade

I have played this game for around two years and have multiple level 70 characters and thoroughly enjoy it. However the game is broken (as of october 2008) and unplayable at the moment due to horrendous lag issues and server shut downs. Check out the forums for more information, well no information really, but you'll see the scale of the problem:

My advice is avoid this game and the new expansion pack Wrath of the Lich King like the plague until the game becomes playable again. Just thought I'd save you some dollars and whole bunch of frustration.

Garmin MapSource Topo U.S. 2008

This product does provide decent topo along with normal road, street and highway presentation. It is easy to manage moving to my Garmin GPSMap 60CSx the data I need. However, some updated construction is missing. I see no way to update the construction information.

Adobe Photoshop CS4 Upgrade

The upgrade box costs more with every upgrade but there is less in it. Amazon frequently shows what's in the box, not here, however, probably because the only thing in the box is the CD/DVD. No more printed manual. Adobe is staking back on what it delivers. Some new features, but hardly worth the price.
