I had a terrible time installing this upgrade. It was definitely the product I wanted to end up with, and since it is supposed to upgrade both SoundForge 8 or 7, I thought I was safe, since I had a license for 7. Turned out, though, that this is ONLY if you have SoundForge Professional 7 or 8 license that you can use this upgrade. After hours of total frustration and no explanation during the install process, and various attempts online and by phone for help by SONY, I finally got someone who really figured out the problem. And the solution cost me another $100 to allow my "upgrade" copy to be used as an "original" license. It was as if I never had SoundForge at all. Can't import drum machines from keyboards. When choosing a drum map close to what I have, it won't go out my sound card. Only midi and Roland soft synths, forcing you to use their synths and hours of editing. When recording via midi, the songs play very slowly forcing you to reload the program. When recording midi, some tracks notes take on a mind of their own needing time consuming editing. TT-1 has some nice sounds and notation features but I wish it had where I can choose a series on notes and change the length and velocity of just one section in a track instead of the whole track. WinDVD 9 Plus

IT appears that Corel has messed up the WinDVD product.

My problems:

1) Trial version will not work on Windows XP x64, PowerDVD trial does.

2) Tech support responses are the standard dribble you can query online.
Even if youmention you tried the online help, you still get the same
response from tech support.

3) No Blu-Ray trial available from Corel WinDVD. I need it for seeing how
well blu0ray plays. I would have to assume the blu-ray plays correctly.
Not much of a problem since the trial will not work.

4) Unable to download a new trial. Repeatedly tells me my trial period

I too read all the negative reviews on this product but decided to go ahead with trying it anyway. I have the home edition of Windows XP and it works just fine on mine. I don't use the photosuite or dvd builder, I only needed a burner and something to make my own music discs. I had versions 4 and 5 before and I figured this one could not be as bad as was written. But that's just my experience, I'm sure the other people had the problems they say. It's up to each person to decide I guess.Easy CD & DVD Creator 6 Platinum Edition

The shipping was very fast. The product itself is very easy to use. My only disappointment is you can't use a USB 2.0 hookup its got to be traditional midi. So what I have won't work for entering music through playing guitar. Had I known I probably would have just stuck with my Finale program. Although I like the fact that this is geared for guitar.

Acoustica Mixcraft 4 - Windows

Garage Band on steroids but for the PC - quick to learn (many aren't) and allows both audio and MIDI recording. Zero latency (delay between playing and hearing/seeing the results). Makes you want to practice.

Pinnacle Instant CD/DVD

I made sure I did NOT install Instant Drive (for that matter, I did not install Virtual Drive or the Music stuff). This left only enough drivers to copy CDs and DVD, and to make Data / Video / Music CDs and DVDs. it has worked well for 2 wks now.

One quirk, the dang thing doesn't Verify its recordings. I'm thinking it's a bug in the sw because it keeps coming back with a bad sector number that is the same no matter which data DVD I write, yet the DVD reads OK. It's just annoying that I can't get verification of the write op.

In spite of that, I'll buy more copies of this pkg for some PCs at work.
