No regrets. It's somewhat of a learning curve, but it's the Producer Edition and that's the level I bought it at. So much potential unlocked and the lifetime support for tutorials is a definite plus.

I am a music teacher, and I have been using this software with my students since it was first introduced many years ago. It works especially well in the classroom if you have an LCD projector. I have used it from Kindergarten right up to 6th grade, as well as 7th/8th grade special ed. I am purchasing a new copy now because I wore out the old one! Very highly recommended!

I'm an adult learner, determined that *this* time I'm going to get past the "right hand or left hand, but not both at the same time" stage. This has been a great program for doing that. You can take it at your own pace, and repeat exercises over and over again, going back to them to refresh. You can do the exercises in either "Wait for the Note" or "Notes and Timing" modes (there's also a mode called "Rhythm" that I haven't figured out yet). "Wait for the Note" helps you learn finger placement and note location; then you move on to "Notes and Timing" when you play what you've learned to the beat of the dreaded metronome. This was given to me as a gift in order to help me write short stories. There was really nothing to this software except some hack's cliched views on what story development should be. This is not only a waste of money (in my case it was a gift) -this is a waste of time for anyone trying to figure it out.

Pretty straight forward and easy to use. I was looking for a digital interface so I could plug my guitar into my computer to record on Garage Band. The UX1 seemed to have the most bang for my buck. It's got some great guitar amp sounds Line 6 UX1 Tone Port Music Computer Interface ( Windows / Macintosh )and bass amp sounds, I probably won't use them all but at least I have the options. It has the 1/4 inch guitar input as well as the XLR mic input so I can mic my amp if I want to. I believe it was worth the money and would recommend it if you're looking for a digital interface with amp sounds.

Apple iLife '05 (Mac)

I was all excited and ready to make DVDs of my grandkids..... guess what ? This iLife 05' on CD ROM does not include the iDVD program as they advertise. What a rip off. Now i am returning it to AMAZON.COM and i have now ordered the ilife 06' application on DVD, straight from Apple which does include the iDVD program.

I really enjoy this product. I recently graduated from college and don't have a large amount of money to spend on EFX pedals and amps, so I bought this.

I have decent computer speakers so it works well for me, otherwise you could use headphones if your speakers aren't that great.

I would purchase again! Great for a beginner with no gear, but not the same quality and power as an amp.

I purchased an older IMAC for my wife and children to use as the PC laptop they were using before died. when you need a word processor, xl program and presentation program you can buy and MS product or an apple one.
Because the computer was a Mac I chose IWORK. It's worked very well and my wife and children rave about it. It is after all a round peg in a round hole. Perfect fit.
