The main points about the creative suites are that the latest ones are usually not necessary - once you have one, it usually suffices for all that you need and upgrading is not a top priority. They are excellent, but IMO far too expensive - unfortunately if you need Illustrator, Photoshop, and Flash - the Creative Suite is the way to go since it is at least less expensive than buying them each individually.
I think they are great products, but I also feel they are very pricey. They are worth it in that there is little else in terms of option (yes, gimp is a free Photoshop replacement - but I still prefer Photoshop in ease of use, and Illustrator is my preference for vector graphics regardless of any other option so far, and I don't know ... I have been an avid Norton Symantec user for over 13 years. This is the worst product EVER. It slows your system down so much that I had to disable most of the features, which an average user will not know how to do.

My biggest complaint is that once the "virus update" expires.. it renders the entire software useless. I couldn't even go in and make simple changes to the settings, nothing to do with the virus update feature. PLUS A pop-up comes up everyday twice a day begging me to buy another year subscription. That is false. What they are really asking is that I buy the software again. Once a year is up .. you might as well throw it in the trash OR give it to someone else OR wipe your hard drive and install a fresh copy.

I purchased this software in 2003 and have used it for five years without any problems. I only had Acrobat Reader before and since I've had Adobe Acrobat Professional I've used it constantly. I wouldn't be without it.

I purchased this software in 2003 and have used it for five years without any problems. I only had Acrobat Reader before and since I've had Adobe Acrobat Professional I've used it constantly. I wouldn't be without it.
