The product they are selling here is a 30 day trial of this software . The activation code in this box will not work . When you try and register this for one year and get new updates , you are told it will cost you another 19.99 . I thought maybe I had received a defective one , so I got a replacement, and the same deal . I have returned them both ,and I will look elsewhere for spyware software that has no hidden costs !

I feel this product is awesome for the price.

Unfortunately I had to uninstall the software after two days because I have Norton also installed and think the programs were uncompatible. I kept having to run in safe mode half the times to get into my Vista user even after I changed default options.

But I enjoyed all the features when I could get in and am waiting for their support to get back with me on my questions about compatibility.

I really regret having to remove this software from my computer. Any one of the features that come with the product are worth the purchase price, IMO.

Norton Systemworks 2006 [OLD VERSION]

Steer clear of Norton/Symatec products. My HP came with Norton SystemWorks 2006 trial version and I thought it wss fine. Assumed the installation of the product would be quick and painless. Don't remember all that went wrong, but one thing is that I was told by customer support after the fact that I should have uninstalled the trial version before installing the version I had purchased. It took forever to install even when there weren't problems. After suffering with a computer that had slowed to a crawl I was able to determine that it was due to a setting in my Norton Internet Security 2006 program. Norton Internet Security Mac 3.0 [AntiVirus, Firewall, Privacy, Controls, iClean]

Not until I was installing NIS Mac 3.0 on my new iMac did I receive install errors indicating that only a limited portion of the suite works on an intel-based iMac. The intel iMacs use OS 10.4. The older powerPC Macs use 10.3. The small print on the box indicated it was for OS 10.3 but the Amazon specs only indicated compatibility with OS 10 Macs. No updates/patches fixes are out on the Symantec website (as of 10/15) for use of this product with OS 10.4, yet intel iMacs have been shipping for 9-10 months now. Symantec is off on this one. I have mailed-off for the 60-day money back guarantee from Symantec as a dissatified customer.

I've been developing web sites since 1995 and I have tried absolutely everything for web development. I keep coming back to this as the solution. I tried Microsoft Front Page, but that took so long to learn to get past the basics, and I had so many problems with uploading sites and especially individual pages that I concluded it is just not a professional tool.

The system for creating templates can speed the creation and update of your web creation tremendously. I have done over 400 small business websites with this product and think you should start with this one, and learn how to use it really well. It is the best. This product consistently crashes multiple times a day. Usually javascript errors or unknown errors. Yes it does rewrite code incorrectly at times and has cost me more work lost than I could actually get done by using it. It is ust an overbloated text editor. Support is horrible. This product is a waste of time and has been since it first introduction. I only use it occasionally because it is slightly better than the most basic text editor and then I still cringe.

I don't know how our household functioned without this handy little program. The older version works just fine, does everything it is supposed to do with ease. Sure, it lacks some of the fancy features of the newer versions, but the price is better.

One caveat: Be sure the item you are buying is a regular license, not a student or "educational" copy. Sellers do not always mention this little detail.
