I bought this for my work MacBook so that I could continue to run a few essential XP applications.

Pros:
* Seamless XP App integration with Unity
* Free upgrade to 2.x
* Downloadable utility to import your old Windows PC image saves a ton of reinstall work.
* Plenty of available VMware images containing Open Source OS's available to tinker with.

Cons:
* Watch the fine print on the rebate - I sent mine in > 30 days later and the request was denied. One would think hanging onto the funds a bit longer would mean more interest earned.
* If your Mac crashes while your guest is open, be prepared to recover the guest disk image from backup.

I have been using this software for years. Works perfect for me. I've been using computers for nearly 25 years now. This is not a stand alone program. Works well with McAfee Suite. Also using RegCure and Diskeeper with Invisi Tasking which is a must. All programs with auto update.
This is a great security program for your computer.

The Good:

* Set it and forget it
* Traditional firewall and scanners you expect from a suite and then some
* Innovative features like anti-theft protection, keystroke encryption and wi-fi detector on your browser(tested on IE and Mozilla)
* Provides Mobile security for many PDAs as well

The Bad:

* Anti-Theft protection could've been extended to do much more

The Bottom Line:

A great product from Trend Micro. Once you install it, you forget that its even there. It doesn't bug you for every little thing like other suites tend to do. Have used this in an older version and in MAC format. This version has a few new enhancements still a great program and recommend it for anyone who wants to create a nice professional looking website. Recommend purchasing a book to get you up and running and to help you use this program especially if you are a first time user. I took an online course which really gave me suggestions for optimum use of this software. This works great with Fireworks, Photoshop.

Norton AntiVirus v.11.0 works great for my PPC G5 Mac running 10.4.11. It installed without any issues, and it's cheap insurance considering all the threats on the Internet. I haven't found any viruses yet, but I do transfer files from my Win XP system - there I've found several in the past year. Bottom line - good peace of mind.

McAfee's Total Protection 2008 boasts a lot of protection its protection package. Loaded with all sorts of features and a redesigned Security Center, the breadth of protection seems relatively effortless! Thankfully, it does so without bogging down your system.
