Basically, this is a package containing 3 CDs chock full of tutorials on a number of programs like Macromedia Flash, Adobe Photoshop, as well as HTML fundamentals/advanced HTML. It could potentially save you hundreds and thousands of dollars spent on real-world courses of the same nature. Of course, you have to have plenty of free time in order to really get the most out of Web Pages & Graphics 5, but it is definitely worth it. One quibble that I have with this package is that it could have been just one DVD, instead of 3 CDs, but it doesn't make it less valuable, really.

Product appears to work well in terms of protecting your PC. But there appears to be some not so user friendly aspects:
* Package says 3 - user but I have been unable to load it on a second PC
* As for any support, you need a code to access the support and the code I entered does not work, making it impossible to get support.

Got this software right when it came out and it's everything Consumer Reports said it was. My PC is running like new... in fact better than new. Norton was slowing the thing down terribly. It also found a slew of viruses that Norton did not find. The other features like the gaming mode and file vault make this software a bargain. Definitely worth the #1 ranking!

Net Nanny 5.5

I purchased Net Nanny about a year ago. It did not have as many options and features as I had expected but it did offer some degree of protection for my kids while online. The ability to limit the time my kids spent online was my favorite feature. The reason I'm giving it a low rating is because after a year, it just stopped working and gave me a message about my license having expired. This came as a complete surprise to me. When I paid for Net Nanny software, I expected to have Net Nanny protecting my computer until I decided to upgrade it or to use someone else. Please be aware before you buy this product that after a year, you will have to pay again for Net Nanny or some other security software.

Grisoft AVG Internet Security - 2 Year Subscription

This AVG Internet Security Product seems to do its job, however it does so at the expense of your computers resources. It slowed every aspect of my 3 computers to a snails pace. PC: 1GM or 2GB Ram, 2.1Ghz Pentium II. Opening documents SLOW, accessing the internet SLOW, opening Outlook SLOW, booting up SLOW. I did every speed trick I could find out about and it was still slow; used a program to clean and delete unused files (.tmp, etc). Cleaned out all non-critical start up programs, I made sure there was plenty of free space on my hard disk. I used a registry cleaner (ccleaner [free]) to clean up my registry. I defragged the drive, still SLOW, SLOW, SLOW. I then removed AVG and WOW it is like a new PC, fast again. By the way last years Norton 360 had similar ... Read More:

BitDefender Internet Security 2008 - 2 Years/3 Pc's

Over the past few years, I have tried several anti-virus (AV) and internet security (IS) packages. I have tried Zone Alarm, Panda, Trend Micro and others. I believe that any are generally adequate and trusworthy, but a site search (and my own experience) will often reveal that BitDefender (BD) AV and IS products give the best balance of protection, system demands and cost. I have been very happy with both the older BD AV Plus and the more current BD Internet Security 2008, especially when one considers the relatively low annual cost of ownership.
