I bought this taillight based on the reviews here on amazon, but I hesitated to provide a review because how am I really supposed to judge how well it works while I am on my bike?
Well today I was driving my car on a very heavily lit busy street, in very foggy conditions, and as I was driving I turned the corner and was immediately aware of a very prominent and frankly slightly annoying blinking red light. It was visible between tons of cars and street lamps, and I drove up closer to try and figure out what light it was and sure enough it was the same light I had purchased for my bike. This to me was plenty of proof that I would not be looked over when I was on my bike, as this light was almost more apparently than all the car ... Read More:

these lights are good for the price! They are a little small (but concerning the price that doesn't matter), but VERY bright!
If you want bigger ones, buy more expensive ones, but this is a good deal!

I bought this light together with Planet Bike Blinky Super Flash 1/2-Watt Blaze LED Plus 2 eXtreme LED Rear Bicycle Light. The run time for 1/2-Watt light seems to last Longer, however this light has better visibility initially when the batteries have more juce.

I have both the one-watt Blaze and the 5-LED Beamer lights on my bike (note that I am comparing the one-watt Blaze, not the half-watt Blaze). I use the Blaze for constant-on illumination (to see) and the Beamer as a blinker (to be seen).
First of all, there is NOTHING WRONG WITH THE MOUNT (which is the same for both lights). Please ignore other reviews to the contrary, which were posted by people who are apparently unable to read an instruction sheet.
The mounting strap is ADJUSTABLE. It will accommodate very small handlebars, as well as massively oversized handlebars. If you turn the mounting bracket over and examine the underside, you will see that the mounting strap has ratchet-teeth. There is a keep directly beneath the ... Read More:

The light itself is great! Approximately 2x1x1", sturdy, relatively water resistant, and doesn't seem to be prone to damage. The 'button' is well designed covered by the plastic case (press lightly on the case, which will then press the hidden button). As for the light, works very well, grabs attention during day and night! Focused to point in a straight cone, but has light to the sides and top/bottom (overall visible from side and back; best for cars coming from behind). Blink pattern is 'blink blink blink BLINK BLINK' (very fast blinks, from the 2 small LED's and then twice from the larger LED). Also has steady ON mode.
Only bad thing is the attachment mechanism. It's plasticky, average construction (doesn't seem like it will break though), ... Read More:

This is definitely made for letting others know you are there not for riding dark trails at night, but, it does that very well and at a great price. Front and back are plenty bright enough for getting attention. Both mounted easily. My only tiny complaint is that they don't default to the same mode one to flashing and the other to solid.

This light really is super bright!
It's a little too bulky though and the base doesn't really lock tight onto my handle bar... Other than that... It's Super Bright!

I attached this to my helmet for early morning rides to work. It is really bright and the batteries seem to last a long time. The velcro holds it securely in place. Glad I got it.

Reasonably priced, good performance. Recommended to anyone . . . some quirks:
(1) My unit does not turn on just by motion of the wheel. It must be switched on before recording mileage, etc. A minor hassle, and maybe even a flaw in my unit.
(2) Freewheeling tire can record weird speeds, i.e., 99.4 MPH. Keep the computer off if the bike wheel is not on the ground.
(3) Certain locations in our city have radio frequency interference that makes the unit go haywire for a few seconds.
I REALLY like that if you record your mileage on a piece of paper, then switch out the battery, you can restore the original mileage recording rather than having the odometer completely reset. Smart.
