Topeak Presta Valve Extender with Valve

Only need one extender to inflate many tires. With this Topeak presta valve extender, you do not need to leave in place the extender once it is installed, since this extender features a plunger that is used to tighten/untighten the the knurled nut on the existing presta valve.

Procedure I use: Screw the extender onto existing valve, push the plunger down to engage the valve nut, losen the nut and proceed to inflate. Once the tire is properly inflated, tighten the nut, disengage the plunger by pulling it up few milimeters, and remove the extender by unscrewing it. Repeat as necessary on as many tires as you wish.

Topeak Tool Bar 11-Function Bicycle Tool

This is a very nice, and well thought out tool. The essence of this tool's design is to notice that those big, heavy, clunky fists full of allen wrench type tools are a complete waste of metal except for the last 1/4" which forms the part of the bit that does all of the work. It also cleverly includes two tire irons and a nice swivel head. Unlike the big clunkers, this tool actually fits pretty well in my hand, and isn't too bad to turn like a screwdriver. It can also be pivoted so the body works like a T-handle with lots of torque on hand.

So, why not 5-stars?

This thing is small and light. That means that it is easy to carry around to pump up flats. It also means that it takes an awful lot of pumps to fill a 26" x 2" tire. You should have a regular size pump at home.

A real handy device. Well, thought out, and if you're even a little bit handy with tools, quite easy to install. It really makes your bike rides more productive. You can set yourself a pace to sustain, or exceed. Time your ride duration, and just about any other parameter you may have interest in obtaining. I have read other people's reviews, and some rated it low. This is not the case. People have all different levels of ability, and of expectations. And at about $30, this item ranks high on my list. I would say if you're looking for a computer, this would be a good choice.
