I've used one of these for three years now with excellent results for hiking boots, Nordic ski boots, athletic shoes and rubber/leather pacs. Although the heat level is very modest - and therefore protects your footwear and keeps the electric bill low - it will thoroughly dry all but the very soggiest boots in a few hours. Also, it seems to eliminate any foul odors (who me?) in athletic or street shoes.

Here's a hot tip: put your already-dry winter boots on this Peet dryer before venturing out on a frigid morning and your feet will be truly toasty!

I wanted to share my experience with the purchase of a ST-X2 Garment steamer. "I LOVE IT" this has been the BEST purchase I have ever made. I had procrastinated for years and regret not buying one earlier in my life. Between work, kids and their school, home etc., I do not have time to iron but I do it anyway and hate it. Hate it because of the white streak marks left on my work pants, sweaters and skirts. Once I received the box, opened it and assembled the steamer it took all of about 5 minutes. It was an easy set up, filled the steamer with water and a minute later it was ready to go steaming away! I ironed my clothes for today in a snap I steam-pressed EVERYTHING I could get my hands on. I was hoping to keep a little warm moist air in the house with this product and it does that. The design could be a little better because it doesn't keep all the lint in it. When I turn the dryer on, it blows all over (even tho it has plenty of water in it) There is also a little plastic insert in the middle that will not stay in place. It does trap a lot of lint in the water (which makes me wonder when I have the dryer hooked to the outside line where all that goes!! That is probably why the outdoor vent cover is stuck open so often!) Again, I think it is a great concept, it just needs a little fine tunimg.
