Works pretty well on my old (1995) Geni garage door
opener. Doesn't seem to have the range the old one
does, but if I open my side window and click it outside
of the car, then it works. I'm just happy to have one
that works most of the time!

The kit had even more parts than we needed. So my boyfriend rebuilt the whole motor! (Sort of)

Certain Liftmaster garage door openers have a plastic gear that is prone to fail after a few years. I had one of those, the 1155. The symptom? You press the button, you can hear the motor running but the chain (connected to the door) doesn't move. When you take the cover off the garage door opener, you can see that it's stripped and white plastic shavings are everywhere.

I asked the local garage door repair company how much they'd charge to replace the gears. About $200. They even wanted $56 for this gear and sprocket set alone. I use this mini remote on my motorcycle key ring. I never have to worry about scrounging through the cars for a remote when I am taking the bike out. I can also keep the garage secure when I am doing yard work I just take my keys with me and the remote comes along.

I purchased the garage door opener as an extra to keep in the house. I programed the new opener in literally a few seconds.Now I can open the garage door from the house without bringing in the opener from the car to the house. Great product and great seller.
