Chamberlain Wireless Alert System #RWA-300R

Product works great. The only proplem is sometimes, the receiver unit locks up and I have to unscrew the case and remove the 9 volt battery to complete a system re-boot.

Chamberlain PIR Sensor for The Reporter Wireless Alert System

Hasn't worked a single time since I put it by the driveway. I have had this make alarm before and they worked fine but not this one. I called the manufacturer and they told me there could be no trees, bushes,had to be able to throw a ball from the receiver to the transmitter for it to operate properly. The sales info says it is good up to 900 feet, I don't know anyone that can throw a ball 900 feet, that's 3 football fields. Their reason was they were forced to shorten the antenna by some government regulation. Reguardless it doesn't work!

THE REPORTER PIRV-400R Sensor for The Reporter Wireless Alert System with 2-Way Voice Communication

If I didn't already have one of these that works I would have only given it one star since zero is not an option. This one was dead on arrival so I sent it back for a replacement. I've noticed others have had these arrive DOA too. The one that I have that works seems to work ok but I haven't had it very long.

I would suggest installing it in a sheltered location as they are not really weather proof and if it gets wet inside it probably won't last long. The weather proofing in these units is very unusual to say the least and it does not work on mine because the cheap case does not meet the rubber bead on the inside of the opposing case. I sealed mine with a removable mastic tape to ensure that the internal components stay as ... Read More:

Reporter Wireless Alert Add-On Receiver Base - Black (REC-300R)

I bought this unit about a year ago after some hooligan broke into my toolshed and cleaned me out. It protects half of my backyard now. It has survived numerous heavy rain downpours. I get virtually no false alarms and the range is exceptional. Thinking about adding another sensor.
