Over the past 15 years, this Tanaka is my 5th blower. Item arrived assembled with only the tubes and throttle body to install which was a simple operation. Unit started immediately after two pulls and has worked flawlessly (two months of daily home use). The quality of the product is a reflection of its "Made in Japan" credentials.

I have had 2 gas handheld (Sears & Stihl) and one 26cc gas back-pack (Homelite) blowers. Take it from my experiences, "if you want to save time, effort and have that professional clean-up look to your garden and other home areas, this is the blower to get." I have a 3 year old Echo Straight shaft trimmer that I bought from Home Depot for around $220. (SRM-211) I was the only one who used it and always kept it in my shed, so it wasn't exposed to the elements nor was it abused. Well, it kept getting harder and harder to start, and now if I do get it started, it won't run for very long. A local shop will charge me around $50 per hour in labor to look at, but it probably needs a new coil, so total repair costs will be close to $100. :(

I started looking at the cheap, under $100 trimmers, but then I came across this Tanaka model and read the reviews. Did I want to spend close to $200 again on a string trimmer? Well, I took a chance, and I am glad I did.

Tanaka Quiet String Trimmer Line .095-Inch x 285' #746570

I bought this line for my Stihl weed eater hoping it would be at least as good as Stihl line. It's just as good as Stihl line. It may even be better. I paid $27 for my last roll of Stihl line. Considering the quality and durability, $27 was a real deal. I expect this new line to prove itself to be just as durable. I'm impressed. Rarely do I ever give a product a high mark.

My annual income is under $8,000. I'm buying my own place and paying my own bills. I have to ration my food supply to 15 small meals per month. When I buy a product, I have to make a smart choice. Buying this line was a smart choice.

This QUIET STRING works as promised. It seems to last long and cuts good and it is quieter than normal string.

Tanaka No Brainer Quick Load Cutting Head (for straight shaft string trimmers) #32308

I bought this to replace a Echo universal Rapid Load head on my Maruyama trimmer. The Echo head had 4 cutting lines which performs better than this model. The Echo seems a bit flimsier with the plastic head so that's why it won't last more than a season. The Tanaka is much easier to load but only has 2 cutting lines. What I don't like about the Tanaka is that the gap between the arbor and head is quite significant. If you have a very long weed or a vine you have to cut, this will get caught in that gap and cause you misery. I also notice that the 0.95 echo crossfire line gets shredded pretty easily with this head. May be due to ability for higher RPM's but your time isn't improved as you have to put the trimmer down and reload. I cannot recommend ... Read More:
