Wagner Spray Tech 282004 1,500-Watt On-Demand Power Steamer

Works well on wall paper, linoleum and even some floor tile. Fun to use it to clean windows with the squeegee attachment. It is not very loud, regardless of what others say. Yes, the attachments are plastic and you must not use a lot of force on them or you will break them. The switch in the trigger really distinguishes this model from the cheaper one and it is well worth it. Without the switch, you get too much water on the wall and the dry-wall blisters. The wallpaper comes off easily but the drywall must be sanded and spackled before it can be painted. How do I know that ?

I bought this product because of the reviews here so it only seems right that I share my experience.

I just did not want to pay thousands of dollars to have someone get rid of the popcorn ceilings in our newly purchased home. I also did not think it would be economical to buy hundreds of spray cans of orange peel after I scraped the popcorn. When I told the husband that I wanted to do it myself with this spray texturizer, he was skeptical but he went along with my purchase. Now, he is amazed at how wonderful our ceilings look.

I got a couple of those big orange buckets from Home Depot, a few bags of Blue Line Wall Texture, a drill with a mixer bit, tarps, tape, a putty knife, a particle mask, goggles, and a ladder (which ... Read More:

I've never been motivated to buy a Wagner painting product. They have great marketing, and do a good job of training sales people at home centers and hardware stores to swear by their products. The problem is that they are selling professional performance from mass-produced, consumer appliances.

In my case, I'm a DIY'er and just finished drywalling, mudding, and taping my basement. My wife bought the sprayer, thinking it would greatly reduce my time on task, priming every square foot of drywall installed -- walls and ceilings.

I took the sprayer out of the box, connected and lubricated as specified, put the pickup hose in the 5 gal. bucket as instructed, put on my goggles and NIOSH-approved mask, and started/attempted to "paint". ... Read More:
