The unit works ok. I wished other manufacturers would follow suit with the flexible wand/shaft idea. Competition is good, but waterpik must have a patent. The flexible neck is a wonder and works very good. The last unit I owned had a 5-year warranty, but the head broke off just after. So, I decide to purchase an updated version with a lifetime warranty. I found that the function dial on the upgrade is not distinct when moving it to each setting. It tends to glide too smoothly thru the settings, so one must play with the dial for the correct shower type. Both my husband and I like this shower head, especially compared to a standard head. I like the hose and it is just about long enough. We were able to find a spray adjustment we both like. Could have been five stars but I don't have much to compare it to.

The spinning face, which selects the mode and sprays water has come loose. Water leaks all around the head and thus, has lost all pressure. I'm pretty sure this item will be replaced by Waterpik; however, what am I suppose to do while I wait for Waterpik to deal with this? If there isn't a replacement, I'll update this review.

Great shower head with a strong spray, easy to install. The concentrated spray using only the center holes is very strong and narrow. The other setting is stronger in the center with a slightly softer but wider spray around it. Take out the flow regulator and you do have a drenching downpour.

I have a very large walk-in shower and was looking for a wide spray shower head that would be big enough and powerful enough for the large area, and keep the whole space warm. This does the job fairly well, although I would have liked the wider spray to be more cone-shaped to cover even more area.

Waterpik TRS-553 Elements 5-Mode Handheld Shower, Chrome

Bought this shower head combo after buying two other more expensive equivalents from Delta and Peerless. This one feels a little cheaper and is made of primarily plastic parts. Although the other two purchases appeared to be higher quality with heavier metal-like parts (which are probably plastic), they leaked and I quickly returned them.

This Waterpik is not bad for the money and the lifetime guarentee is promising.

For several years, we've used Delta handheld shower with Aquasana water filter Then, a few months ago, the Delta broke and it was time for a replacement. We did a thorough research on Amazon and decided to purchase this Waterpik. The design looked good and the handle was very light. Regrettably, there was too much cheap plastic all around. So why the three stars? First, the harsh smell of the new rubber shower hose. How can I enjoy a nice, peaceful shower when I am enveloped in a toxic cloud? After 4 weeks of daily use, the Waterpik hose still smells awful. I replaced the hose with a 72" stainless steel shower hose from local "BDF hardware" (got it?) store. This shower head is so good I bought two - even though Amazon.com couldn't ship to the UK, and Amazon.co.uk doesn't stock it !!

It gives a nice wide strong stream, which is easily directed with the flexi-hose.

Self installation very easy.
