I bought this filter because it was the cheapest of the whole bunch. It really is true.....you get what you pay for. This filter doesn't help with the taste and odor of my water. I just purchased another filter from ABT that is the original filter for my refrigerator for $10 more and no shipping costs. DO NOT BUY THIS FILTER!

I actually wanted the paper compactor bags but am so glad that I got the plastic. I used to have to stick the paper bags in a trash bag before tossing it. You just put the twist tie on these bags when they're full and out they go! Very sturdy and fit nicely.

Feedback I left regarding a recent order with FiltersFast was removed, so I'm reposting. I purchased 3 filters from FiltersFast pursuant to a BUY 3 AND GET FREE SHIPPING offer, which the ad stated SHIPS FROM AND SOLD BY FILTERSFAST, however I was charged for shipping. FiltersFast admits the ad is misleading and a violation of amazon's policies that prohibit sellers from posting seller-specific info, such as free shipping offers, in product descriptions, but refused to issue a refund.

I understand your complaint, and I'm sure it's valid (I still have an old metal Culligan filter in my fridge), but what did you do to resolve the problem? I see that Amazon lists an MXRC filter for $150 or so. Did you buy that one instead? Does it not have the problem?

Sears Kenmore 38476 / Whirlpool WHER 12 & 18 Compatible Water Filters

I ordered these replacements after on a third trip to Sears they did not have this in stock and it seemed they were not likely to in the future.

The online Sears price was 5-6 dollars higher, and I was upset they did not stock it locally, I ordered these through my more familiar Amazon account.
