I own a set of the Oven Rack Guards and this is one of the best kitchen inventions I have ever seen. I am a kitchen gizmo guy and I love the latest and greatest. The Guards are great, machine washable (I just leave mine in all the time) and idiot proof! What the guards lack in style, they more than make up for in function. For Christmas this past year, I purchased seven additional sets for gifts and those people are now in love too!

This unit worked okay for a couple of months, then the diverter valve malfunctioned. They shipped me a new one, but that one was defective too. I'm on my third diverter valve, and frankly I'm tired of having to change this part. The description of this item does not let you know that you will constantly have to be replacing a key part or the thing won't work. So, in addition to replacing the filter, you'll also have to contact their customer support to have them repeatedly send you a new part. You will have to install this part also, taking up your time. If the filter ever malfunctions, be prepared to open the filter yourself and troubleshoot it with their customer service people, and you're lucky if you can open the damn thing. I soaked mine ... The replacement filters are fine. They a little flimsier than the orignal filters I had but seem to do the job.

The mailing of the filters took a little longer than I expected but did arrive within 10 business days. At over $12, the shipping and handling was more that the cost of a filter.

All that being said, this is one of the few places that actually stocks the filters and they provide good service and excellent updates as to the status of the order.

This is the best of all the options for the dishwasher "Are these dishes clean?" dilemma.

- It has double-sided tape instead of a magnet so it will stick to your stainless steel dishwasher just fine.

- It stays firmly set to "clean" or "dirty" ... no accidental changes every time you open the door.

- It's fairly thin, less than 1/2" so mine is actually installed on TOP of the door between the edge of the door and the countertop. This way it's not ugly and obtrusive on my pretty stainless dishwasher :-)

There is no doubt that the filter improves the shower - our skin is not nearly so dry and itchy. We recently let our filter stay in to long, and when we changed to a new filter, felt an immediate difference.

HOWEVER the wand portion split after less than a year and though they replaced it and gave good service, we had to pay $12 for shipping. ?! It was a chaotic time of life and I didn't have the time to argue.

Now the place where the shower head and hose meet have sprung several leaks. We just put our old shower head on and it works fine - but we are very disappointed.

Go for the filter - do your own shower head.
