We've had these on our house for a year and they are everything promised. Installation was a breeze. Only problem we had was we choose a freezing cold day. Simply because we wanted to get them right up. Hubby was trying to make a big production out of the instal as he couldn't believe it could be that simple. It's been a year now and they work perfectly. I'd recommend them to anyone. How happy am I that my husband no longer has to get up on the ladder and do the gutters? VERY HAPPY.

Werner PK80-2 Level-Master Automatic Ladder Leveler

A real "life-saver" on unlevel surfaces, but a couple of caveats.
First, download the instruction manual from Werner before ordering. Some models of Werner ladders require an extra installation kit. Secondly, read the instruction manual from front to back (several times), especially when you get to the part on having to cut the bottom rung off of your existing ladder. That's where it gets scary. I've never had good luck with straight cuts with hacksaws and was lucky enough to rig a jig for use with a metal cutting blade on my miter saw. Mine came out perfectly but not without angst. The whole project lasted over the course of two days. Bottom line: it was well worth it and I feel much safer on the second-storey.

I weigh 450 pounds. I was never meant to be on a ladder, period. So why I decided to paint my own house is beyond me (I blame it on my wife). Originally I was going to have help with the high parts, like the gable ends at 25' up but at the very last minute my help bailed on me, but only after I bought the paint sprayer and the pressure washer. M-D Building Products 4663 R-6.7 Water Heater Insulation Blanket

Everybody knows what these things do, so I don't need to explain it. This is basically fiberglass insulation with a thin plastic sheet on one side. You wrap it around your water heater and in theory this will save energy.

Installation is messy. No way around that with the pink fiberglass. You'll have to cut and tape. on the top. My water heater is 80 gallons so none of them fit, I had to buy two kits. Even more messy, but if you've every done arts are crafts as a kid, you'll figure it out. It does include nice white tape that blends. You won't anything more than cursory instructions.
