After reading a few of the reviews here I was wary about ordering this item, but I needed something to hide my power cords and this does exactly what I need. I don't think that the hinge is as flimsy as they say. Just be careful and don't toss it around or yank it open. Just open it, plug things in and leave it alone. Maybe the people who had problems with this open and close the cover day in and day out. I need to open it only a few times per month to plug something in and it works just fine.

Also if you need a smaller one they have another model called the Belkin Mini Concealed Surge Protector.

Ultra Life Battery UPVL-X 10 Year Smoke Detector Battery

I had 3 of these installed in smoke alarms in May 2003, so was disappointed when two of them failed after about 4 years, and the last one just began to beep after exactly 5 years.

But then I discovered that the alarms I'm using have dual sensors (First Alert SA301), containing both an ionization and a photoelectric [these are not hard-wired, the battery does it all]. Therefore, if in reality, the batteries are running two detectors at once, I guess it shouldn't surprise me that they lasted half as long as advertised. Also, my alarm doesn't qualify for the 10 year warranty, because it contains a photoelectric sensor - the warranty is for ionization sensors only.

Cost wise it's probably a wash, one could buy several alkalines ... Read More:

Came on time, did what I needed it to do. Mounted behind a 52" Philips LCD TV with plenty of clearence space. I used the 1" spacers provided by my PDR mount. In use for about 2 weeks no complaints. $10. less than the nearest competitors price. THANKS AMAZON.

To avoid electrical work in an older home, a wireless doorbell is the way to go. I've been happy with this product since day one. Installation was simple, it's not an eye sore, and it's nice to have the chime plugged into the wall to minimize battery replacement. Our chime is about 40 feet from the button, and it transmits wonderfully through two walls. I am very pleased with this product.

I was willing to pay the price based on the rave reviews, the travel-friendly collapsible design, the flat base (so you can also use it as a bedside lamp while rummaging in the dark) and the spine clip, but the gooseneck was not long enough for the light to cover all of both pages of even a normally small paperback, and the light was not bright enough to compensate - and I generally use these lights in very dark bedroom situations, not in low-light situations like evening train rides where it might do fine. After trying 5 different lights of varying manufacturers, designs and prices, I ended up going with the $12 version of the Mighty Bright LED light. I am very pleased with the Desingers Edge Outdoor floodlight. I had the electrician install it on the my new sun room. The flood light will extend out quite a distance into my back yard. Living in the country it provides me with a little more security knowing I can see who or what has made the light come on. The pricing was comparable to the big box stores.

He leido quejas de este producto respecto a la poca luminosidad, pero por 3w que esperaban. Lo compre para mi lampara del buro u mesa de cama y es muy util pues no deslumbra como para despertar a mi esposa y da suficiente luz para leer o relizar actividades sin caerse o tropezar. Se puden colocar en lamparas con dos focos para mejorar la luminosidad. Buen producto instructivo y advertencias en español.

My husband is so pleased with this product. The color red is great because you can see it as you mow, so far he hasn't run over it. Heavy but not so heavy that I can't move it myself if need be. Would definitely buy it again.
