I purchased 3 sets of these lights to use as uplighting around the front of my home. I am impressed with the amount of light that these put out and how easy they are to install. Not enough to "shine" through the windows to disturb the darkness but a nice glow to illuminate the landscape. I am going to order 2 more sets for each side, they look kind of bare compared to the front. They are in no way as bright as the electic powered lights but they are just as pretty. I put them out today and a couple of my neighbors approched me this evening and asked me "who did your lighting"...

I bought this gizmo a few weeks ago to monitor the basement in our new house and see if it is usable as an entertainment/gym area. In the summer when we did the radon test the result came in at 2.4 . When I first turned on this device the result came in at 8.4 !!

That made me freak out a bit, but after re-reading the instruction I realized that placing the detector 2 feet away from the sump hole may not be the right thing to do. So, I moved it closer to the middle of the basement and reset it. After a couple of days the reading came in at 4.6 .

During heavy rains the device showed readings of as high as 5.9 and it went down to 4.2 during dry weather.

I love this product, not only because it's so practical to have both Smoke and CO2 alarms in one unit, but it is so unobtrusive and it works well (doesn't go off every time you fry an egg). It is better to have a CO alarm at ceiling level for early detection, it is battery operated so it works when the power is out and can even go with you if you are away from home, even in your car. It also has a voice to discriminate between fire and CO. Great Product!

These winders are absolutely great for in the garage or basement! The cord pulls out easily and winds back up in seconds. Also, your cord is not snaking through the garage on the floor getting caught on things. Great purchase for anyone - handyman or one of the girls!!

Is a good item if all of the plugs you are using stand upright and are standard sized. I got it to sit against a wall for sideways plugs. Holds plugs tightly so you'll have to push a little. No problems with it so far.

Better safe than sorry is such a great motto. I love the battery back-up on this alarm. I bought another one after we received this one. I would recommend this product.

Kidde Plug-In Carbon Monoxide Alarm #KN-COB-DP-H

This alarm has a "tamper resist" feature which makes the alarm sound if the unit is "unplugged" (fortunately, this can be deactivated, though it's on by default). However, this feature is very poorly implemented. There is a button that sticks out on the back of the alarm which is pushed in when the unit is plugged in. However, if the unit is slightly bumped or jostled, this alarm will sound at full blast even if the unit is never actually unplugged! Earlier today, I was plugging something else in nearby when I grazed the alarm, causing it to go off. My head was only a foot or so from the alarm, and I fear it may have damaged my hearing!

Smart Strip SCG3/049418906 Energy Saving Power Strip with Autoswitching Technology

The smart strip is larger than I expected, but that is understandable with all the technology that is contained in this strip. It was very easy to setup and I just used another powerstrip plugged into one of the controlled outlets instead of buying the version of the smart strip that has more outlets. I wasn't able to get it to work with my AT&T U-Verse DVR, but just set it up to use my TV as the controller instead. I think I am going to buy these as Christmas gifts for family this year.
