Before I forget to write... Purchased if off GoldBox a
few weeks ago.

This unit worked out of the box for my application, no tweaking
or setup was required; A Dell Desk-side being accessed remotely
from a Dell Laptop. I do not use "suspend" as my disk image is
to large for a reliable suspend image.

I control 2 printers, 2 scanners, 2(+) USB HDDs', 2 LCD Monitors
and items as needed (such as MP players, Watcom tablets) with
no problems.

It is set this way as I am lazy and use the laptop late at night and
no longer have to get my buttocks out of bed to shut down the

The house I live in was built in 1939; they didn't have TVs back in 1939; the outlets aren't even three prong grounded except for one the landlord had to have put in with a higher capacity circuit to accomodate that new fangled gadget--the air conditioner.

So when I picked up my new Sharp Aquos, 1080p, 42" television I was very susceptible to the pitch that I should buy only the most expensive surge protector / line noise reducer possible, the more expensive the better--but I'm not a sucker so I didn't buy it right there and then.

We bought these lights to help out at night when we go into a bathroom or hall and just need a little light to see our way around. Once you attach the light a simple twist to the left will separate the back plate from the rest of the housing to access the batteries (or for us mobility). What made these little items indispensable was how they helped out during a crisis. You see I live in Houston, TX and not long ago we were hit with one of the worst hurricanes we have seen in over 25 years; Hurricane Ike.

Intermatic TB121C Digital Table top Lamp and Appliance Timer

I bought this timer to control my wireless internet in the house. The kids need to go to sleep sometime and they seemed to play on the computers forever, now the router turns off at 10:00 and is back on for my wife at 5:30. If it is the weekend I just hit the "on/off" button to let them play or talk longer. If I am mad at one for not carring out the trash while absorbed by the internet I just hit the same button and its off until the preset time or I hit the button again. Lovely

Oh! one more thing, the plug is piggy-backed by your appliance plug, so both plugs are at the outlet and the timer cord by itself then extends about 3 feet to allow it to lie on top of my desk, no clutter. Its Great

I find these bulbs to be very bright and a great value!! They are a bit slow to start, that is to get to full brightness. It takes about 1 to 2 seconds for them to initially light, and another 30 seconds or so to be fully lit. Getting these new bulbs also got me around to FINALLY cleaning the lamp shades and globes:-)!!

11 Outlet 2375J Surge

I bought a couple of these for my pc and entertainment center. I haven't experienced a high surge situation, so I can't review this product's performance under pressure. However, I did knock a star off my review because each unit seems to have at least one dead plug. In other words, I plugged something into one of the outlets and did not get any juice. I changed to another outlet on the surge protector and got some juice. Perhaps this was user error, but it didn't matter since this unit provides more outlets than I need. I would still recommend this because the brand is reputable, and the cost/quality ratio meets my expectations.

The TG1200 Portable Electric Generator sold by Amazon.com (from Eastern Tools) is inexpensive and this is reflected by the (lack of) quality of the product. I expected that. The problem was caused by the very poor quality of the packing. One dollar spent on packing material would likely have made this purchase a better experience.
