First Alert EL52-2 2 Story, 14 Foot Escape Ladder

This is not a good escape ladder for kids. We have a 6 year old daughter who was not strong enough to lift this heavy ladder up to the window, unfold the cumbersome hooks, and then throw the ladder part out the window. It is hard and awkward even for an adult to do this let alone a child.

Once the ladder is hooked on the window sill, you have to lean waaayyy out the window to pull the release tab, risking falling out the window to do this, especially if you are a vertically challenged.

Once you pull the tab, the ladder is supposed to neatly fall to the ground without getting caught up on itself. Wrong. The ladder gets so tangled that it would require you to go 4 or 5 steps down, untangle, go 4 more steps, untagle, ... Read More:

Shoulder Dolly LD1000

We haven't moved too many items with the shoulder dolly yet. We purchased it shorly after our big move (yah, a little late, I know). We used it to move two small nightstands and a very large dresser upstairs after there were refurnished. Still trying to figure out how to properly used it; mainly how far from the ground and how to balance the load. Being a girl with weak arms, it sure helps to carry the load with your whole body. Items still feel heavy, but your hands and arms hurt a lot less and my legs don't feel sore at all. It can slow you down your move as you have to set up & take down the dolly for each item you are lifting, but it feels like a more natural way to move objects! The camera meets the expectations drawn from the published literature. The documentation, however, is less than satisfactory. I am particularly displeased with the detail relating to the use over the internet. My camera ceased operation over the internet a week after I left home. Nothing in the literature explains the fault or offers a method of correction. Kudos for Amazon's posting of the Panasonic installation video.

easy to install, works exactly as described, lifetime warranty sounds good. don't tighten connections too much, you can mash the washer which is a bit thin. water flow is great and settings from pulse to spray make you want to shower a bit longer. hopefully the plastic construction is sturdy enough for the long run. hose is long enough to clean the walls and tub but not too long. overall very satisfied at this point, would recommend to friends.

I thought I got a great deal on this combo item, but it only worked for three months before failing. I guess when it comes to my family's safety I shouldn't be so concerned with the best price and just buy an item like this from a local store that I can return it to with no problems.

Leatherman 830039 New Wave Multitool with Leather Sheath

Great convenience in a small package. The one problem is that the temper on the blade is not great. I used the blade to remove some stapes and I got big nicks in the blade. A cheap knife would have done better. It resharpened, but that is not the objective.

I have a lot of leaves every fall and needed something other than a gas blower. They are just too heavy for me nowadays. So I bought the Cordless Electric Broom from Black and Decker. What a great job it does even if they are wet on the driveway. I am really happy with it. I also just bought another one for my 84 year old neighbor as his gas blower was just too heavy for him too. I would very much recommend it to anyone who has leaves!
