I can't help but believe that all the positive reviews for this item are fakes written by BioCare. This is a piece of junk. Just get the flea drops - they're the only thing that seems to work in my house.

I saw this device mentioned in another review and I just had to give it a try. To be honest I didn't know that this existed! We live in a drafty house built in 1936, so central AC is out of the question. We unfortunately are at the mercy of window units. Before, I was trying to monitor our window box AC unit with programmable timers, having the unit go off every hour for 15 minutes. But it never really worked, either we were too hot or too cold, never comfortable.

Last night I plugged this in and set the temperature to 75 and would you believe it, it worked! For the first time in weeks I woke up without a stuffy nose and cough (from being chilled out), and it was easy to get out of bed to a pleasant room, not jumping up to run and turn ... Read More:

First Alert SA302CN Double Sensor Battery-Powered Smoke and Fire Alarm

I purchased one of the 'smoke' alarms for the remote control feature. Like all 'smoke' alarms I have owned this is to sensitive. It triggers when making toast, baking a cake. There is never any smoke when it goes off. The remote feature doesn't seem to work with any of my remotes. So tonight when it went off I pulled it off the ceiling and smashed it on the floor. That made it stop. I would rather run the risk of a fire in my kitchen than have to deal with another so called 'smoke' alarm. Maybe some day there will be a real smoke alarm on the market. As for as this goes I plan to package it tomorrow and mail to company with a letter of satisfaction.

I purchased this heater to help keep my oil bills down and it has not disappointed me! I have a small living room that adjoins an oversize kitchen and this heater keeps them both comfortable. The tip-over switch is very sensitive (shutting off when I pick it up or move it), which is a plus for me with two little dogs.

There are a few downfalls as well. The one-touch thermostat is a bit of a pain, you have to hit the button a number of times just to get it set where you want it. The setting starts on "high" then goes to "low" then it starts allowing you to select the temperature eventually getting to shut off. This means about 20 button punches to get it turned off. I've just picked it up to allow the tip-over switch to shut the thing off!

Works as advertised. I use my B&D Leafhog to suck leaves into 30 gal refuse bags. Consider buying a funnel at ACE hardware to attach the leaf collection system to for ease of filling your refuse bags.

My husband was in Boston, I'm home with the children. All smoke detectors started going off. Spend 30 minutes looking for nonexistant fire. Can't get the $*%&^^$ things to stop. After 40 minutes of trying to stop the stupid things, I call the fire department - they come and find defective smoke detector in basement. Firemen leave. Twenty minutes later, smoke detectors go off again. Again, can't get the $*%&*#$ things to stop. Again call the fire department - now the one in the upstairs hall is defective.

We now have three or four missing smoke detectors. Husband just got on Amazon to replace smoke detectors. He calls me in here to read all of the negative reviews because he thinks they are funny. Wanna know what I think is funny? Even ... Read More:

Bought this as a surprise for my husband based on the reviews. It is something he would not buy for himself, he'd just continue struggling with holding open the garbage bag for clippings, etc. HE LOVES IT! It is sturdy, fits a standard yard bag, and it folds up neatly for storage. Highly recommend for clippings, leaves, etc.

Milwaukee 6514-21 The Hatchet 18-Volt Ni-Cad Cordless Reciprocating Saw with Pivoting Handle

I have used other brands of reciprocating saws in the past and never been impressed. I purchased the Hatchet because of a job that required a lot of cutting in confined areas and this thing worked great. The ability to pivot the handle and install the blade either up of down proved to be very versatile. I now see why Milwaukee has such a good reputation with their Sawzalls.

I was concerned because of some of the older reviews about build quality and other issues with this heater, but I decided to try it anyway. With LNG prices set to rise anywhere from 25% to 35% this winter, this heater is a smart investment.

We live in an old (1898) condo with single-pane glass, 11' ceilings, and no insulation in the exterior walls. This little heater does a very good job at actually heating a room. My wife no longer has to hover over a space heater, this thing actually brings the whole room up to temperature.
