Jack-In-The-Box

For some reason my eight year old grandson wanted a Jack-in-the-Box. He also has a younger sister whom he adores of almost 2. He was delighted when we got this box and played with it quite a bit, especially with his sister. I suppose the only down side is that, though the latch is strong for the top, it doesn't appear to be, so one is not always sure that it is latched well.

Since we also have a puppy German Shepherd who is teething, we have to watch out for the puppet in the box when we aren't around, so it is placed very high up. Silly Circus Jack in the Box

I purchased this toy for my childs first birthday. She loves to see the colorful animals on the side and to hear it play when you wind it up and jack jumps up. It is fairly well made and durable. The jack is a little hard to get back down inside to close the top, so a parent will have to help little ones with this toy. This is the type of toy that you sit on a shelf and only allow the child to play with it, while being supervised, because I do not think it would hold up to rough play and being dropped on the floor a lot. My older children also find it neat to play with as well.

I ordered this toy for my nephew. Even though he does not quite have walking mastered, he loves to just push this toy around! It is an upgraded version of the "popper" that I had as a kid!

Jack The Monkey Tin Jack In The Box

A cute little monkey instead of a clown. I chose this one because it has the tradional song. This is not as sturdy as the ones my kids had back in the late 60s and early 70s, but I suppose that is the way most things are today. A fun toy to hold and play for a 10 month old. I am not sure how long it will last once she begins to really use it, but we are having many laughs with it now.

Fifi the poodle is adorable! The tune is delightful and Fifi is so cute, this toy is sure to bring a smile to any little girls's face.

We bought the toy while Christmas shopping for our kids. We didn't buy it for our kids, but more so for my husband's pleasure. He absolutely loves this toy. He takes it everywhere and pops it. Mostly to get other people's attention. He had it popping before we ever got out of the store. My husband (40) and my neighbor (30) think that this toy is one of the coolest.
