I got this for my kids, and I am happy I did. The whole thing comes with a little surprise. A Crayon sharpener. Finally!
And it all fits together in this compact design, nice to store away and contain everything. I am very pleased with it. For the parents who know how hard it is for their kids to stay within the lines with crayon ends that aren't sharp anymore, well, you know what I mean. :)

I'm a 28-year-old medical transcriptionist, but in my spare time I sometimes like to color in coloring books as a form of relaxation. I have tried other brands of crayons, but those brands have been subpar. Crayola has always been the best quality.
I love these crayons. I recommend them to anyone and everyone with toddlers. My daughter loves to color. But, she was always breaking her crayons. These do not break. They also don't roll all over the table and the case is perfect as well. They were delivered very fast too.

The fact that these markers only write on the special paper is brilliant and a true sanity-saver for parents, especially on airplanes and long car trips or in restaurants, but BOO! to Crayola for making the coloring books so it's impossible to draw outside the lines on the pictures.
One of the many reasons coloring is such a great activity for kids is that it helps to develop their fine motor skills as they learn to control their hand and keep the color within the lines, but with these coloring books marks outside the lines are invisible, which means it's nearly impossible for the child to see for themselves how well they're controlling the marker.
And then when kids want to deliberately color outside the lines, their ... Read More:
When I was little, I'd get a new box of these every Christmas. Sometimes it was just a box, sometimes it was one of the Christmas tins, and sometimes it was a creativity set (like the old art caddy or the case of crayons). I actually toured the Crayola factory in 1994 (when they still let you into the actual factory and not the automated ride) and let me tell you, these guys are well-made.
You won't find better crayons than these. I've used Prang, Rose Art, the generic kind...nothing quite matches up. The 24 count is a good sized box for almost anyone, it has a good variety of shades.
Be an American. Buy Crayolas for your kids. It's an American tradition.

hmm, I haven't noticed that the crayon goes back in when the kid puts force on the point, but I don't question that it does,as I'm not often sitting there with her when she's coloring - more often than not I'm doing damage control around the house or trying to get a meal together. But other than that. The other second hand complaint I've heard is that my friend's daughter has figured out the twisty motion and just twists them up and promptly destroys them.
My daughter has yet to discover this feature. I just love that she can color and there's no broken crayons, no need to rip the paper to get to more crayon, there's always the same nice point at the tip. I loved them so much, I got small packs for all my friends with kids, which ... Read More:

I purchased these crayons because I became tired of my son eating his sisters' crayons and having to constantly peel them when they weren't sharp anymore.
With a little twist you constantly have a nice point available that has not broken to date. The kids love them. I love this set because it comes with 6 sets of 8 colors; so you can give each child their own set and have some in storage for when they lose or break them.
There are a number of reasons why I have given this product so few stars. First, the crayons hardly work on a wet surface, making it problematic to enjoy them after you've filled up your child's tub.
Second, I have to push so hard to draw anything, that I use one crayon per bath. Consequently, small crayon pieces float around in the tub and are a pain to pick up after the water has drained. To the credit of the crayons, however, it is extremely easy to clean up whatever was drawn on the tub; the small pieces that break off, however, are frustrating at clean-up time.
These crayons hardly work on a wet surface, are very fragile and prone to breaking, leave a mess of crayon pieces all over the tub, and are mostly one-use items. ... Read More:
