I bought these paints for use with the Melissa & Doug Deluxe Standing Easel & Companion Supply Set Bundle. They work just fine with the Melissa and Doug paper rolls, and my only criticism is that these little bottles don't last very long, or are at least not the ideal choice for a toddler who is using big brushes. Each little container might last at most three painting sessions, depending on if you use the paint "full strength" or watered down, and how much you pour into the plastic containers. Unless your child is using smaller brushes or you are unconcerned with how long the little bottles will last, I would recommend purchasing the much larger Blue Poster Paint Bottle and the other colors. If you have a child in your circle, I cannot more highly recommend this wonderful set from Rose Art. It contains 108 items including markers, oil pastels, watercolors, crayons, colored pencils, pencil sharpener, paint prush, AND a palette for paint mixing! This is a wonderland of excitement for a creative kid. And... If you think that your child isn't creative -- just give him this kit and watch your budding Rembrandt evolve!

The storage box deserves mention, as well. Because it is see-through, it encourages returning items to their proper places. It's just so beautiful to look at!

Melissa & Doug Jumbo Paint Brushes (set of 4)

We gave my daughter these brushes to go along with her easel and paint for her third birthday. She can grip them well with her little hands and even paints with one in each hand sometimes. They are just right for a young child and seem to be good quality. Every once in a while when I'm cleaning the paint out, a bristle comes out, but it's not too often.

I'd recommend these to anyone looking for paint brushes for a child under the age of 5.

I ordered this for my 7-year-old daughter's birthday and, must say, was THRILLED with the product. The bottles are MUCH larger than I anticipated, so we're getting LOTS of painting pleasure from the order. If you get this, you might also want to consider those handy plastic paint cups as well. You can pour the paint into the cups where it remains fresh and easy to get at.

My 3 yr old wanted to use scissors so I bought these for him. They cut paper very well and so far don't cut anything else. They are especially great because what ever the 3 yr old does the 1.5 yr old wants to do too. I know he can safely explore with these and won't get cut. So far they seem quite sturdy too.

I was a little worried when I got these that I might need fatter ones for my toddler, but she does great with these! And, they take a LOT of abuse! She mashes them, paints concrete, all sorts of horrible things to them and they're in great shape! Way to go Melissa & Doug!
