I bought the cottage for my 2 year old daughter. Little did I know that it would be such a big hit, even with my 6 year old!! Although it took almost 1 hour and 45 min to put together, it was well worth it. The metal frame was not difficult to put together, but we did have to bang it on the floor and apply a lot of pressure to get the pieces to fit tightly with the plastic conectors. The most difficult and time consuming part was fitting the canvas over the frames. The girls couldn't wait to get into it, so much so that they were playing with it while we were still trying to put the second half together. My granddaughter turned three last week and I bought her the Fisher Price Loving Family dollhouse. It only came with a few pieces of furniture so a-shopping on the internet we went! What great fun this is. I was kind of disappointed that the dishes that you see above the sink are fakes - you can't get them out and play with them. Same for the stuff in the fridge and in the dishwasher. Bummer! But it's cool that the little phone actually rings and she loves that double highchair for the twin babies.

It's a great set and so necessary in a dollhouse, right? It's very reasonably priced, too.

It seems like any toy that's designed to last years instead of weeks costs a ton of money. That's true of these if you bought each set individually at the store. The bulk box of these is a steal.

This product looks great in my doll house.Every time I look at it I think I want a kitchen just like it.
I loved building and decorateing my doll house and plan to do another soon Southwestern.I am currently looking for furniture sites for the furnishing of said house.

This is an okay set. It is nowhere near as good as some of the premium sets or even some of the other basic sets, but I would buy it again.

Of the commonly available sets I would recommend getting the kitchen first, then the nursery, then the dining room, then the bathroom, then this set.

For a basic set it has lots of accessories. The chair set folds out in to what I assume is a recliner or sleepover chair, the tethered blanket on the bed is fun, and the pillow is nice. I'm not sure I understand why they put a food tray with this set. I think a dress up table with mirror or something else girly instead of the nightstand and food tray would be more fun.

After the kitchen set, this is probably one of the best sets to have for your dollhouse. It comes with lots of pieces. The drawer opens in the buffet table, the tablecloth and chair covers are removeable, and there are several food pieces (cupcake tower, tea set, etc.). It also has much nicer colors and fabrics than the other sets.

Other reviewers that have said more chairs would be nice, but I would take that a step further. A long rectangle table with room for the family would be more fun.

The quality of these pieces is exceptional. It would be difficult to find so many pieces, for this price, at a hobby or craft store - let alone such well made ones. We have a Victorian dollhouse (not this brand) with Melissa & Doug furniture, which fits perfectly to scale, so the accessories really complete all the rooms. The shelves included with each set already have an adhesive strip on the back! These are nice for kids and collectors alike. It would be great to see seasonal or holiday dollhouse accessories by Melissa & Doug, their products are always wonderful. Dealing with Gummy Lump Toys was a great experience, too!

I received the dollhouse in quick time. I also appreciated the price as the best I had seen for this product.
I bought it for my granddaughter for Christmas. So she will be the real test! I know that she will love it.

Very sturdy set, fits well in the top level of the FP dollhouse. Both the twins can fit in the crib which consolidates the rooms a bit, allowing you to buy more furniture for the dollhouse.

Out of the entire set, this room is probably DD's favorite.

I took a star off because I thought the seats/swing? were a little cheesy.
