I grabbed this up while it was on sale for my daughter. This is a version without the color change vest, so no comment on that. As for Dora, there haven't been any problems with her head filling with water at all, she's dries off pretty easily. My daughter has a lot of fun bathing Dora and washing her up! She really adores this and it is the FIRST bath toy I have boughten her that she actually plays with. She's had boats, ducks, little mermaid and strawberry shortcake squeakies before, but she only ever liked playing with cups and a washclothe and bubbles. So I'm thrilled I finally found a toy she likes!

I have all 6 dolls and LOVE them. The dolls have sweet "little girl" faces lacking make up and gaudy features. The hands and faces are made of plastic and the bodies, arms and legs are bendable cloth. The clothes and shoes are fantastically detailed and fit the 'age' of the doll. They actually look like clothes a little girl around age 8 - 10 should be wearing. The dogs that accompany the dolls are a cute touch as they can be posed sitting on the girl's laps or held in their arms.
While fashion dolls also fit a 'niche' for imaginary play, these dolls are far more appropriate for little girls over 5 who are mature enough to transition from a baby doll to a life-like miniature child that looks more like themselves. I can't recommend ... Read More:

HABA Soft Doll 12" - Nelly

We love this doll. It is not a baby doll but still so cute and fun. It's hair is great and nice and soft and you can do different things with it. Great doll that has very well made and held up well. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I LOVE this toy. My 2-year-old is able to snap clothes on and off in endless combinations of shoes, outfits, and hats. (The hats tend to tumble off when the doll is moved because of their big hair, but it doesn't bother my girl). Their chunky feet make the dolls stable for little fingers. What's nice about them is that their clothes snap on in a similar way to the Bratz dolls, but I do not like the style of those and don't want my daughter playing with them at 2! I think these dolls will grow with her for at least a few years. She's had two dolls for almost a year now, with the outfits they came in, and one additional out fit pack and still plays with them nearly every day.

The ONLY downside is that Amazon has these marked too high! ... Read More:

I got this dolly for my little girl's third birthday, and we both love it. First, it has purple hair which is my daughter's favorite color, and she can brush and eventually style it. I love the expression on the doll's face, the sweet vanilla smell, and the bright colors on the soft body. The dress is removable (velcro) and you can get other fashions for the doll. This is a great choice for any child who loves to brush hair on a dolly and try out different outfits. Corolle has done yet another great job with this one!

I have looked for dolls that are pretty and playable for my six year old grandaughter. The dolls that are offered in most toy stores are not at all what I want for her, so I was pleased to find that Madame Alexander still makes dolls that are pretty. My grandaughter was pleased with her doll. I may make some doll clothes so she can play dressup with her doll.
