I bought the camera for my daughter's 4th birthday, which falls 3 days before christmas so that she would be able to take pictures at christmas. She loved it. It went everywhere with us. It is a great toy that takes ok pics. No they are not in 8+ megapixels but for a four year old they were perfect. if you take them in well lit areas they are very good pics on the screen. If in darker areas the subject has to be close so that the flash can work. Overall a great toy for any child who loves taking pics

I saw this toy at Wal-mart, and I thought it would be the perfect toy for my three-year-old. There was no price on the shelf, so I took it up to the register and about had a heart attack when I heard the price. However, I figured since my son has some birthday money from relatives, I would try it out because I really thought it would be a hit toy.

My three-year-old really does like the toy. It has three dance modes. One is called "Dance Along" and has 18 toddler favorites, each with a different "animation." I assumed these songs would be good quality music (since the camera costs $50!), but the songs are cheesy electronic keyboard music with no words. This camera is very durable and seems to be easy to use for a 3 year old. My daughter has fun taking photos with it. However, do not plan on using this camera to print pictures. The image quality is absolutely terrible. The display on the camera is even worse. I was hoping to have my daughter take pictures with it and maybe get one or two pictures that we could print and show as her first attempts. However, we have made this just a simple toy instead of a usable camera for pictures. Expensive toy camera. I would have paid a little more for one that had any quality of picture that matches the technological age :)

From reading the other reviews, I thought this would be the camera to buy for my 8-year-old son, who loves playing with and dropping our $80 Canon. It's a bit of a disappointment for us, though. The screen on the back (a bonus, as they're not always found on kids' cameras) makes all pictures look like snowcapped mountains, for one; also, unless the lighting is exactly and precisely right, they don't look so hot in final form, either. My son is really thrilled about the fact that he can strap the camera to a tree with the provided belt, but that's not reason enough to make me happy about this purchase.

My biggest problem with this camera is the delay between the time the shutter button is pushed and the picture is actually taken. These are made for "Little Tikes" that don't understand that they have to hold still - we have a lot of pictures of the floor and ceiling as a result. Someone forgot who they were designing this for.

My 3 year old daughter loves this camera!! She takes pictures of everything. The quality of the pictures is what you expect from a kids camera, but they are not terrible. This thing has been abused by both my 3 and 1 year old...Keeps on working!! VERY DURABLE.. Definitely worth it

This is a fun toy for a kid infatuated with cameras. My daughter plays with the camera a lot but I can see her potential for getting bored with it too. The sound effects are okay ("say cheese" for example) and may actually help your child be more patient and stay still when you try to take their picture on a real camera since they learn the process of picture taking, e.g., it takes some time to take a picture. The only downside is that you, as a parent, will spend a lot of time reloading the "pictures" into the cartridges after your child has taken all the "pictures". I'm also not sure if your child peels all the stickers off if you can buy more "pictures" to reload in the camera.
