I have a leapster, and I like it. It's green, and it's got lotsa games inside it, and you can put more in the top of it. I got the doggie game, the one where you wash and pet your dog, and I like it alot, and I got the one where you make creatures, and make rooms for them to live in. I have a case, and you always have to make sure when you go somewhere, you have the game inside 'cause if you get someplace, and you only got the case, and no leapster in it, it's not as much fun. I like my mom's Pretendo (Nintendo), but mine has more games for a little boy. I think it's a good game for kids, My mom is getting me the Spongebob game for the car ride to Disneyland.

First - the first one I got didn't work. Very disappointing for the five year old in question, but these things happen. I didn't mark the rating down as a result - I comment on it only so that if a pattern emerges you have that information
Second - it doesn't come with a lot of games. She was tired of the games it came with about two hours later. On the other hand, being five, part of the thrill of having a birthday is all of the new stuff... two weeks later she continues to play those same games quite enthusiastically and they seem to be the appropriate degree of difficulty.
Third - if you are buying a leapster for a girl, get this one. It probably sounds silly to everyone else out there, but it really made it ... Read More:

My daughter loves this system. It is highly educational. You can set the learning level as appropriate. I am very pleased with this buy.VTech V.Flash Home Edutainment System
We have 3 boys, ages 3, 5, and 7. We were trying to hold out on video games since it will probably be inevitable at some point, but this Leapster is not your typical video game. They are learning a lot and are most definitely using their brains while they're playing. We have a few games, some letter/word ones as well as math. And they all love to play with it- it was very easy for them to just pick up and start playing. Even the 3-yr old. It goes through batteries pretty quickly, but we use an old portable DVD player car adapter cord with it in the car now and the same player's regular power cord if we use it in the house, so batteries are not an issue anymore! Highly recommend this product.

This was a gift for Christmas that only lasted 10 months. Some of the activities kept my son entertained, but I can see why so many people recommend to just buy the regular Leappad. There was not a lot involved in the activities, and most of it my son already knew. The reason I gave it 3 stars is the lack of education it provided and the fact that it broke. The batteries started to die, because it would start to talk slow then turn off. Then after changing the batteries it wouldn't work and kept saying the batteries needed to be changed, after I already put in fresh new batteries twice. It was fun to see my son get some use out of it while it lasted, but I wouldn't suggest buying this unless your child is still working on the basics (letters, numbers, ... Read More:

I bought this toy last year for my 3 yr old and I was wondering at the time how much she would play with it or would it be one of her toys that just collected dust, but she loves the Easy Link and still plays with it everyday! It has so many different activities that she's still finding new things to do. I bought all of the characters and she enjoys every one of them. This is a great toy that has a little bit of everything and I would recommend it very highly!!

My one-year old is just not interested in this toy at all! I can't imagine a 6-month old being interested in this either, despite the description. I would not purchase again or recommend. I found a little play laptop at Target for $20, which allows my baby to bang on the keyboard, play with the mouse, it makes noises...that was a much better toy for her.

Purchased this for my 18 month old and she loves it! She just loves to press the buttons, but can definitely see the potential for her to learn her letters as she gets older. I do not like the number feature. It is too delayed. Overall a great beginning laptop.
Exactly what I wanted... my daughter loves my laptop and now she has one of her own!! Looks just like a "mini me" computer. She loves it. Also like the fact that it is light enough for her to carry around.
