We purchased two of these about 2 years ago- one for the bathroom for our little one to brush his teeth and one for the kitchen for him to help mommy cook. This stool is pretty heavy-think of it as a piece of furniture. My then "little one" is a rough houser and the bottom step is cracked now on both of them.... other then that...it is functional. Also...it is on the large side if you have small bathrooms be prepared for stubbed toes! Although, I do have one outside now so that he can reach the mailbox and get the mail or send letters to his friends...and it weathers well! But if I need another stool for my nine month old...I may get a folding one.

Our family loves this stool. Our 18 month old is very curios and wants to be a part of what is going on. It frustrated her that she could not see over the counter. She always wanted to be held or sit on the counter so she could help. This eliminated that problem. She can stand beside me & help. True it is a little pricey but it is extremely sturdy. I would definitely buy it again.
This is a wonderful, solid little step stool for the money! I bought it for my kids ( 3 1/2 and 2 years ) and they love it! Both my husband and I are small people so our kids have always been in the low percentiles for their age. We had an inexpensive plastic step stool, but my oldest is so little we still had to lift her the extra distance so she could wash her hands. This step stool is perfect because the extra step gives her enough height to not only wash her hands, but also easily turn the faucet on and off by herself. This is nice for me, and she feels like she's a big girl now. I also like that it's solid wood and not particle board. The storage space isn't real big, but I don't care since that wasn't what I purchased it for anyway. For ... Read More:

My two year old loves her "big girl bed" but because we needed storage space, we opted for a captain's bed which is quite high! Getting in and out was tough, so this step stool was a good choice for her. It was VERY easy to put together and qutie sturdy! The only drawback for us was that it slid on the hardwood floors (despite the claim of non-skid) we thought through a bunch of solutions and finally chose to get a non skid throw (shag) rug that runs along the side of the bed. She also loves the rug and now enjoys going up and down her "stepping stool" safely!
I really liked this stool and ordered two. Both arrived with damage and one was returned. They are quite heavy which I think is mentioned in the description. My toddler girls definitely can't lift it! It is the perfect height for the bathroom sink. However, it turns out you can just go to Target and get it there, probably on sale.
This product was easy to assemble and made a terrific showing at my daughter-in-laws shower. I filled it with toys and clothes and stuffed animals all wrapped in celophane. It was the hit of the party. Also having 3 children of my own, I know it will be perfect when the baby stands since it is low and the perfect height for a toddler to hang on to and walk around. Also all of the toys are visable without a dangerous top to open. It is smooth and sturdy.
My daughter bought this tower and my granddaughter has loved it since she was 18 months. First, she mostly climbed on it. Now she helps wash and cook. Two provisos: first, it's pretty big and heavy, so in a typical apartment galley kitchen it might not be too practical; the height can be changed so it can be used with regular dining height tables, though. Second, the model she hs has HUGE stabilizing fins that I constantly tripped over when moving around it. The pictures of the newer model don't show them, so perhaps that issue has been resolved.

Nowhere on the product page do I see any mention of assembly for this item, so I was pretty surprised when it arrived in pieces! There are 7 wooden pieces, plus hardware, and the assembly instructions aren't great. I'm not the handiest gal, but I do ok, and it took me close to 45 minutes. I'm still happy with the item--once assembled it is sturdy and really nice looking, and it did go together without much trouble. I still would have purchased it even if I had known about the assembly, but that information really should be in the product description somewhere!!
