I bought this for my daughter when she was ~14 months. We have a large family room so I am able to put this in a corner and leave the lid up without anyone seeing it. The lid is able to open and close with ease. I've never had a problem with the lid falling off, but I have it against a wall. All of her toys fit nicely in this box with room to spare. Her little books fit in the front yellow compartment along with some small stuffed animals. The top and sides are plastic while the "box" is heavy duty fabric. I assembled it in like 10 minutes using a drill, but you can use a screw driver. It really is a perfect toy box.

I read the bad reviews, but could not find an alternate option for storing these beautiful but unstackable puzzles. I decided to email Melissa and Doug with a list of my puzzles and asked them if they would fit. M&D got back to me promptly, and assured me the puzzles would fit. I directed them to the bad reviews and asked if they were sure that the rack would work for me and they reiterated that it would. I decided to order it, and am pleasantly surprised to say that all my puzzles fit , beautifully - chunky, peg, big knob, and even some non M&D ones. Everyone including my husband is really complimentary of the rack and how it solved a storage issue. I highly recommend it and am glad I gave it a chance.

Melissa and Doug Pirate Chest

I bought this treasure chest when my son turned 4. It's been over a year and my son still loves to play with it!

This chest is nicely made- thick wood, and great quality as all of Melissa and Doug's products are. The coins are a little thicker and nicer than the cheap ones elsewhere. The red bag has a drawstring and is used by my sons to carry around their coins. The pirates flag is fun- there is nothing to hang it with, so you have to get creative in how to hang it up. My sons enjoyed having the flag hung up in their room as it then became a Pirates Hangout. The false bottom is great for hiding your coin bag, or for anything else little you want to secretly store.

Pink Jewel Ballerina Jewelry Box

I ordered this for my 3 year old daughter who loves ballerinas. I was more than delighted when this box arrived. The photo doesn't do it any justice. It's quite charming.

I was a little leery that this "tree" would really work, but it does!!! The height makes it hard for my daughter to get the smaller toys on top, but her having to ask me to get them down helps me to keep a handle on the amount of stuffed animals that are out as she has to put others back before I'll take more down. I had no problem getting the loops over the tops of large animals, but I could see where a child might. Until my daughter is strong enough to do it herself, I'll just do it. The tree was really more for my sanity that for her. The only concern I have is I've been telling her to never put anything over her own head or around her own neck, yet I'm telling her to do exactly that with her animals. This is a nice compact toybox, I was expecting it to be a little bigger. When it is full with toys(which is not a lot) the sides do buldge so I would say it's not the strongest. The price was good so overall I am satisfied.

I bought this instead of the net. I totally recommend it. My sons is loaded with stuffed animals and it stays in the ceiling and uses way less space than a net.

Loved it. It was for my granddaughter. It is sturdy, the paint is non chipping, and the cushion plush. The lid can't slam and hurt fingers. Very nice for the money.
