We got this set last Christmas. At the time it was almost completely ignored, and seemed too complicated to mess with. We had a big problem with them crashing down. Put it away for months. When I got it back out (I was thinking of selling it)and tried one more time; we started again. This time we watched the dvd that comes with it. We had made several mistakes. The two most obvious are not using the wood base plates on the bottom supports, and trying to make it go down using gravity. By building the sides level and letting the dropping motion move it forward you get a much more stable structure. By starting with small runs, and building on them, constantly testing the run as we built it...had a whole different experience. Our mistake ... Read More:
I selected this item after reading reviews of this and other toys. I purchased just the 150 pc set last month for my 3 1/2 year old grandson. At first I was overwhelmed because the 150 pc set is very limited on how you can set it up. I reccommend that you PURCHASE THE LARGER SET with more pieces. I will be reordering the bigger one to give more options for set up. So I am very happy. NOTE: I found you really need to plan out how you want to set it up in advance on paper. Otherwise, it's trial and error. ALSO, because of the limited options for the smaller set, it slips on the shiny floor and won't stand up... so either put pieces of carpet or grip rubber under each tower or just build it on carpet. PLUS, we had to put various books under ... Read More:

Lots of fun, well worth the cost. I got it for my 3 year old son and we spend lots of time him and I building all of the different structures possible with this set.

This is an awesome marble run! My twin daughters got this for Christmas. They were 6 years old at the time. They can easily put the pieces together themselves, and we have had no problems with pieces breaking. I do recommend the 250 piece set because then you have LOTS of pieces to work with. It is so versatile! It does take up our whole family room when almost all the pieces are used! My 2 year old LOVES to make the marbles go on the run once we get it built, so it is great for the whole family. Sometimes it does take an adult to help build a run that works, but parents should be spending time with their kids helping them learn. My girls can also assemble it themselves. The instruction booklet has lots of runs you can build or you can ... Read More:

I bought this for my two 3 year old grandsons. They loved the marble action but it required pretty much constant attention from their parents as the structures are unstable and easily knocked over with a resounding crash. There are many variations in building design and lots of interesting pieces but construction is somewhat complicated, often requiring checks with the included design book. This game is really for older children or for young children with very patient parents.

Very High scores and the power dice adds a new fun dimension to the game. We love this game and play it often. The red power dice gives you options for multipliers, extra rolls, double scores, and lose your turn. The scores are very high and the new scorecard adds some extras spaces for more options. The object of the game is to be the first one to fill your scorecard and have the highest number of points. May need a calculator!
