This gun worked great for the first few shots. Then it began tearing up the foam darts and jamming. Within an hour, almost every dart was damaged and the gun jammed up on more than half of the shots.

This was very disappointing to my son, who had saved for months to buy it. We were happy that we were able to easily return it to the store we purchased from.

We know of two other families that have this gun, and they have had okay performance from it. I guess we're just unlucky -- but beware that you could be unlucky too!

I bought this gun mainly for it's looks and functionality when used indoors. It can shoot about 15 - 20 ft out of the box and can get about 30 - 35 ft if you want to modify it. It is a very durable toy, but if it does break, it will be the hammer pin that is used to prime the gun. The pin is held by plastic tabs that can wear down, but only from very heavy, heavy use. This gun has a high rate of fire but can misfire occasionally depending on the darts. The included darts are okay, but a bit too soft and thin. If you are able to find thicker darts, I would recommend it. The barrels are tapered so I would recommend not storing the darts in the barrel for a long period of time. I bought this toy for my daughter for her second birthday. 5 months later she plays with her instruments every day!

The instruments are very good quality.. extremely durable.. and they have to be to survive the wrath of a 2 year old!

Highly recommended to anyone looking for instruments to buy for their toddler - they are so durable, sound realistic (they are realistic), and are excellent quality.. as Melissa & Doug items usually are.

One one thing I would like to note. My daughter could care less.. but, the instruments come in a wooden crate. And.. its exactly what it is.. a box. Would be nice if there were different compartments for the instruments to be in.. or a lid.. or cover.. or something to keep ... Read More:

One thing you HAVE to know about this toy is that the darts do NOT glow in the dark by themselves. I really couldn't believe it when we had to actually put paper on the darts to make them glow. Thought that was exceptionally cheesy for Nerf. Not used to that from them. Anyway, the gun just fires in constant repetition, soars as high as the 24-foot ceiling and beyond, and those darts really stick once they've been dispelled by the gun. It's a ton of fun, no doubt there, but if you're playing in the dark, the light inside gives away your position. Other than that, highly recommend!

My 6 year old daughter played (and played and played) with this toy at a boy's birthday party. The mom had drawn a target on their glass door and had a shooting range for prizes. She was the only girl but she loved the whole military-style playing. Normally she is very "girly" and demure and plays with ponies and Barbies, so was I ever surprised! She ran around with them covertly hiding seeking the opposing team, had fun loading the darts, loved watching the darts fly around the room, and had an all out blast. For this reason, I've been holding on until Christmas to get her one for herself!

I just wish this company had the dart tag set I purchased to use these darts with. Their prices are fantastic, my toy came from Target and was way overpriced.

DON'T BUY THIS! It is cheap and worthless. I live in a big city & went to four different stores to find the correct lightbulb you need to "bake" the bugs. It broke after the first use and we followed the directions exactly as stated. A huge disappointment to kids. I would not recommend this to anyone! This is without a doubt the worst toy I have purchased from Amazon. It should be taken off the site. I sent it back immediately.

Barbie Play Beauty Accessory Set

I bought this accessory set to accompany a vanity I got for my daughter's 2nd birthday. The best part about this set is the "working" hair dryer. The switch is simple enough that my 2-year-old can turn it on and off herself. It doesn't really blow air out, but it makes noise like a real hair dryer. The little lipsticks and eyeshadow are fun for pretend play. I only have two complaints: 1) the mirrored compact is difficult for small hands (and sometimes even my hands) to open, and 2) the brushes do not have real bristles. I ended up giving my daughter some of my old makeup brushes to play with so they would be more gentle on her skin. But she has enjoyed playing with this set and I would recommend it overall.

Ty Beanie Baby Austin Backyardigan

Austin was a great hit with my grandson. He is well-made, and now, well-loved. As fas as educational, he teaches how to love, but not much else. I think he will really last a long time.
