This gun worked great for the first few shots. Then it began tearing up the foam darts and jamming. Within an hour, almost every dart was damaged and the gun jammed up on more than half of the shots.

This was very disappointing to my son, who had saved for months to buy it. We were happy that we were able to easily return it to the store we purchased from.

We know of two other families that have this gun, and they have had okay performance from it. I guess we're just unlucky -- but beware that you could be unlucky too!

I bought this gun mainly for it's looks and functionality when used indoors. It can shoot about 15 - 20 ft out of the box and can get about 30 - 35 ft if you want to modify it. It is a very durable toy, but if it does break, it will be the hammer pin that is used to prime the gun. The pin is held by plastic tabs that can wear down, but only from very heavy, heavy use. This gun has a high rate of fire but can misfire occasionally depending on the darts. The included darts are okay, but a bit too soft and thin. If you are able to find thicker darts, I would recommend it. The barrels are tapered so I would recommend not storing the darts in the barrel for a long period of time. One thing you HAVE to know about this toy is that the darts do NOT glow in the dark by themselves. I really couldn't believe it when we had to actually put paper on the darts to make them glow. Thought that was exceptionally cheesy for Nerf. Not used to that from them. Anyway, the gun just fires in constant repetition, soars as high as the 24-foot ceiling and beyond, and those darts really stick once they've been dispelled by the gun. It's a ton of fun, no doubt there, but if you're playing in the dark, the light inside gives away your position. Other than that, highly recommend!

Hasbro Nerf Tech Target Game - Colors May Vary

My 6 year old daughter played (and played and played) with this toy at a boy's birthday party. The mom had drawn a target on their glass door and had a shooting range for prizes. She was the only girl but she loved the whole military-style playing. Normally she is very "girly" and demure and plays with ponies and Barbies, so was I ever surprised! She ran around with them covertly hiding seeking the opposing team, had fun loading the darts, loved watching the darts fly around the room, and had an all out blast. For this reason, I've been holding on until Christmas to get her one for herself!

I just wish this company had the dart tag set I purchased to use these darts with. Their prices are fantastic, my toy came from Target and was way overpriced.

This gun set is very fun but the guns are inaccurate or something like that at far range and the vests are very hard to hit. oh yeah I got it for Chistmas 2007 bye

We bought a couple of these guns for my sons birthday as we set-up a mock shooting range in the backyard for his party with 2 teams and targets for each. This gun was by far one of their favorites used. It is pretty durable and the balls shoot farther than you would think they would. They also do not hurt if you get hit with one.

It has a semi-decent aim once you get it down and they balls fly nicely through the air. You can also load a few balls at once to keep shooting. I like it better than a rapid fire gun as you have to actually aim to shoot and hit a target.

My son and his friends love this toy and play with it almost everyday.

12 shot rings are hard to find. And when you do find them they are not so loud, don't always work and are generally not as fun as the ones thirty years ago. These are the exceptions.

Nerf Big Bad Bow

after taking the gun out of the box, i realized that the bow attachments (orange and black pieces) werent needed for the gun to work. my bow came with 6 arrows unlike many people who bought it at toy r us and only have 3. i bought mine as a target exclusive.


ive heard many complaints of broken arrows and not enough arrows.

FOR BROKEN ARROWS (ripped fins)

just take either super glue (what i used) or hot glue and put them back on. this will only take a few minutes.


FOR MORE ARROWS
