This is a great mirror! I love that it can be used attached to the wedge (and be positioned at various angles), strapped onto just about anywhere, or it is large and lightweight enough for babies to hold and manipulate ( around 5-6 months). My son also loves the wedge alone as much as the mirror. Starting around 5 months he loved grabbing, wrestling, and checking out the different fabric sides of the wedge. Ours is an older version with different fabrics, but the same overall design. A great toy for every baby!

My son loves to gaze at this colorful, fun shaped mirror but since this item was made to be tied to his crib, the purple (detachable) bird and the teething ring will not extend far enough for my son to play with. Both purple bird and teething ring are attached to the console via nylon ribbon. I really wish the designer would place the bird and teething ring dangling at the same edge so it is easier for infants to grasp and chew on.

She likes both the mirror and the sun side. She tries to talk (coos) to the baby in the mirror and she smiles at "Mr. Sun." 10 weeks old, she isn't reaching for it yet.

My son is 13 months old and figured out how to pound the balls in with the hammer, which does require quite a bit of effort. It's fun for a few minutes, and then he's ready to move on, so I wouldn't really recommend it.
The real reason I wouldn't recommend it is because he was able to fit one of the balls in his mouth and he couldn't get it out. Luckily, we were there and my husband was able to get it out, but it definitely scared him and us and we immediately put the toy away.

My three-month-old daughter loves watching herself in this mirror. I hook it over the arch on a Fisher-Price bouncer chair so that it is at her eye level, and she squeals and kicks her legs for a good 10-20 minutes (she's pretty high-maintenance, so this is a long time). The corners are rounded and soft, and the plastic mirror is easy to clean. It's such a simple toy--no lights or sounds, no batteries required--but for a baby her age, it's perfect.

Mirrors are great for babies and recommended as a good source of entertainment during the early stages of development. I like this mirror because of the bright colors, different textures, soft frame, ability to make sounds and overall "baby friendly" looks. Unfortunately, that's where it ends. Like other reviewers, I was disappointed with the lack of a volume control as it is too loud. The large, textured pads to activate the animal sounds are great, but the actual contact point to make the noise is so small even I have a hard time doing it sometimes. My daughter was very attracted to the puffy animal faces along the edge of the mirror. It would have made sense to have the noise activation buttons inside these rather than having the tabs at all. ... Read More:
My 5 month old loves this toy. The mirror and the softness of the fabric. I say this is her second favorite because her first favorite is Sassy Earth Brights Wooden Dove. If the Dove isn't around, this one keeps her happy. The rattle inside also keeps her attention when she shakes it around.
We received a comparable product as a gift from a family member when our first grandchild was born 4+ years ago. Now that we have another new member of our extended family, we were looking for a similar gift (since the actual product we received in 2004 is no longer available).
We like the number of "pages" in this album - 15 total pictures, counting the front and back of each page. Plus a little reflective panel at the back that would function similar to a mirror. That's more than some of the other available first albums offer.
Compared with the one we received several years ago, we feel that the pages are a little more difficult to turn. It's possible that this is just because the pages were so compressed in shipping. Perhaps ... Read More:
