My son loves this bike! It wasn't the easiest to put together though. The directions were pretty hard to understand. But it's worth it when I see the look on my 4 yr old's face.

We bought this for our youngest son for his second birthday. He is barely tall enough to touch the ground, even with the seat at its lowest setting, and was scared of it. We knew it would be a stretch for him, but wanted him to have it in the spring. An unexpected benefit was that our older son, who just turned four and who has been riding a small bike with training wheels for the last two summers, adopted it and LOVES it. He wants to ride it all the time, instead of his other bike. And his balance is really developing. We're guessing that he'll probably be ready soon to get rid of his training wheels on the other bike, mostly because of the practice he's getting on this. Difficult to control since the kids are pedaling and steering the front tire. I recommend a chain-driven bike. This lasted a few rides and he went back to his old bike. Cheap enough though that we didn't mind. Cute Diego design - not well made.

It had to be assembled which took about 45 mins. While the deal was ok and I think was cheaper than a local purchase I would check local before buying to avoid assy.

We are very pleased with the "performance" of this bicycle! We've had it for 4 weeks now, and my little boy has certainly put it through its paces. Gears shift smoothly and easily. Bike seems well-made. There was only 1 reason that I rated the product a 4 vs. a 5. The bike had to be assembled and the instructions that came with it were for the wrong bike! Thank goodness my husband is handy. We ended up with one left-over part, a sort of curved wire thing. Because there are such great pictures on the website, I was able to look at the close-ups and determine that this thingy was the guard for the shifter on the rear wheel! I recommend this product, but beware the assembly!
