The rear light is great, though I do worry about snapping the clip (mentioned in other reviews - its hard unflexible plastic vs flexible plastic or metal for a more solid build). However, I have issues with the front light:
1) it's HUGE. and HEAVY. bobs up and down a bit because it doesn't attach super tight.
2) the top isn't covered well, and it shines in your eyes at night a bit. not the best design.

This product is horribly over-packaged and inappropriately over-engineered. The day after I bought mine, I opened up the packaging and discovered that, to change batteries, it was necessary to extract three very small screws which were too small to be opened with any standard cycle-tool or coin. I did a trial run at home, in the comfort of my living room, and I realized that this was a non-starter. I commute year-round in eastern Canada so there is a high probability that a battery change would be necessary in the dark (obviously), and possibly when cold, raining, or snowing. Let me start by saying that in my relatively short time biking, I have found Topeak to produce very nice items. For the record, I also own a Topeak rack and bags that are both outstanding products.

HOWEVER... my newly acquired Topeak Redlite is a huge disappointment. Let me explain why...

On the back of my Topeak rack, there is a small metal bracket that is supposed to be for attaching Topeak brand lights. I imagine if you look up Topeak racks, you could see this small bracket. Unfortunately, once you purchase a Topeak light, you find that it doens't fit the bracket at all. The product is a great value for money. Placing the batteries is a bit tedious though the batteries do last long enough. I never have had any problems with either of them. Plenty of diff. rhythms/sequences for both the lights. The flexibility to use the Xenon Bulb or the LED's comes in quite handy.

I wish it would have included the batteries though. The headlamp needs 4 AA batteries while the tail lamp takes 2 AAA batteries.

I would definitely recommend it since it's adequate for regular use.

Vendor shipped good product on time.

Worked just as a dynamo generator should, for a reasonable price. I didn't need any extra parts.

Important: everything needs to be grounded to metal using the screws and metal brackets. Using plastic brackets that may already exist on your bicycle will not complete the circuit.
