The WowWee Lion Club is wonderful and my 13 month old friend loved it. The eyes and mouth worked great after I changed the original batteries but the purring part did not. What a hassle to have to send it back to Amazon for a refund, especially since it came in a box large enough to hold an Ambrams Army tank. Even so, I am trying again and reordered based on the child's reaction and her parents. They wanted to order all three!

good product. have used to replace air hogs havoc heli as well other other off-brand hughes 300 style micro heli (similar in size to havoc heli). product was nice and cheap, although shipping seemed a bit high.

WowWee Tribot Talking Companion in Red/Black

Of all the WowWee robots, I think Tribot is more fun than the Robosapien and far, far beyond WowWee Robotics RoboPanda. After being disappointed by Robopanda, we were really excited to see how Tribot would build off that failure.

Tribot does not look as human as WowWee Robosapien with Mini Robo - Silver, but it moves better, quicker, and more efficiently. The three-wheel configuration works great!! The biggest innovation is the tilt-sensitive remote control combined with a very intuitive remote which makes it much simpler to operate than Robosapien.

Like the RoboPanda, the sarcastic dialogue might get tiresome, but its not as immediately annoying. Still, there is something familiar and friendly with Robosapien's grunts. ... Read More:

Wow Wee Bladestar Flame Indoor Flyer

We gave our son a Bladestar for his 9th birthday and the first one just didn't work. We charged it and did everything correctly but the thing just wouldn't start. That one was exchagned for a second which worked great--until the switch to turn the flying part on/off broke off. The toy did seem fun on the three flights we had. The auto pilot mode worked and it stayed away from walls, etc. We decided not to buy another and were able to return this one to Target.

Kid Galaxy Radio-Controlled Mega X Morphibian

My son is five and loves this toy. It does the best in dirt and over rocks. It also goes well in the swimming pool. It floats and plows through the water. My son has a lot of remote control things and really enjoys this one. The battery is a little difficult to put in it.

WowWee Robotics Roboquad

My wife and kids bought me the red roboquad for my birthday this year. I think it's an incredibly entertaining toy. I'm 26 years old and I've been interested in robots for a long time, so maybe that skews my perspective a little, but I was incredibly eager to see what this thing could do.

I found it incredibly easy to navigate the basic controls. For more advanced features you'll need to give the control manual a once over, or just play with the remote for a while.
I've played with the robosapien before and have to say I prefer this model hands down. It's movement is way better, it can move in almost any direction fairly instantaneously. It does have some forms of movement to help it get past large obstacles, but you need to control it yourself ... Read More:

Kid Galaxy Land Shark

My son received this Christmas 2007. It has gotten use on and off, mostly off. So, it has not been heavily used. Just recently (Oct. 2008) the car wouldn't turn on anymore. Replaced the batteries but that did not solve the problem. I wound up taking the housing off the car and discovered there is a small plastic stem that goes from the on/off switch on the car into some kind of electric transistor gizmo. The stem itself had broken off, and I found it inside of the car when I opened it. It really isn't repairable, unless I could find a whole new switch piece (fat chance on finding that). At this price level, I think something like this should last longer than it did, considering it only got light-to-moderate usage. It was a pretty fun toy, but durability wasn't ... Read More:
