I had hoped this would be good for road trips, but there is no where to store normal sized paper. You have to have 5X7 paper and coloring books don't fit anywhere. So, we ended up having a second case for paper and coloring books.

My daughter enjoys the Spotz toys. She spends a lot of time and has fun picking out pictures and putting them together. She also enjoys giving out Spotz buttons to her friends. She likes changing and showing her Spotz with the purses. The only negative thing is that the purses are small.

The Klutz Book of Jacks

I originally bought this book for the "real" metal jacks that were included.
All I could find before was some gigantic plastic jacks.
As I was teaching my grandkids how to play using the "real" jacks, I became addicted to playing jacks again!! What fun!
Fellow Baby-boomers, listen up...is your eye-hand coordination faltering?? This is a great way to get some of that coordination back!
Grandpa is going to teach the grandkids how to play marbles.
I see some challenges in jacks and marbles on the playground (backyard)in the very near future! Now where is my favorite "shooter"?

I thought this would be the perfect gift for my budding 4 year old artist. Was I ever wrong! The nicest thing about this 'art' center is the case it comes in. The crayons and oil pastels have barely any color pigments- the oil pastels are almost entirely wax. The color pencils are not much better, and the water color tubes are hard to handle for small hands and don't yield better result than the inexpensive kids versions. The markers are okay, but they were not the selling point for me since young children need to experiment with color blending. She's going back to her REAL art supplies.

This Batman art set combines two loves of my son - Batman and drawing. He is 2.5 and just loved the fat markers (washable!) that are large enough for his hands. The case is stylish and easy enough for him to refill and carry. The colored pencils and thin markers would be good for a slightly older child, but I don't think I would go higher than 6 - 8 with this set. There is a Batman scene creator to help kids draw Batman scenes, but for the young ones, it will be frustrating ( mine just scribbled on it), for the older ones it is helpful and still simple enough for them to draw. For the price, it is a nice set for the younger age range.
